  Athansius, the court case was postponed for 2 weeks, due to the lead prosecutor must quarantine for 2 weeks because he was exposed to someone with Covid-19.

  so, in a couple weeks, the jws move on in their bible-reading slog to the book of deuteronomy.. take a gander at deuteronomy 23:12,13:.

  a private place should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go.

  since this will probably be a one time occurrence, an important objective of any street encounter is to bless jws with doubt about their beloved organization.. after exchanging niceties, you might say something like:.

  I was approached by witnesses while I was getting something out of my truck. (I work outside) 2 grown men were passing out memorial tracts door to door, they came over to me, all smiles and offered me an invitation to the memorial. I said thanks but no thanks, they looked quizzical, so I said, “I walked away from this religion 35 years go, not interested in having anything to do with it.” They literally looked scared, ran to their car, and left the territory completely. Lol

  three of my sisters - there are five of us - were baptized as witnesses.

  one of them has gone from reading voraciously to only reading her textbooks and watchtower publications.

  this does not seem to be unusual among witnesses.

  they are idiots, we have a real "gay-for-j" zealot right now who hasn't got the message that they are not wanted and no one is interested in their bible-fantasy gibberish.

  there's a certain irony that their own site is covered in "don't spam" rules but they think it's acceptable to do it to others.

  Many put forth little to no effort to learn proper English. It’s not “important” enough for them. I was (and still am) a voracious reader, as a kid I read everything I could get my hands on. Which is why I won all the spelling bees in school. 😀

  just reading on reddit...witnesses coming over to someone’s home after a death in the family to ‘pick over’ their possessions or asking about if they left any money to the cult?

  i remember, at my previous place of employment, a mexican immigrant at my workplace, had converted to jw from catholic, although i did try to talk him out of it.

  this has to be over 25 years ago.

  Just reading on Reddit...witnesses coming over to someone’s home after a death in the family to ‘pick over’ their possessions or asking about if they left any money to the cult? I remember, at my previous place of employment, a Mexican immigrant at my workplace, had converted to JW from Catholic, although I did try to talk him out of it. This has to be over 25 years ago. Anyway, he was an unmarried man, with no dependents. He had an elderly mother back in Mexico. He had a massive heart attack and died suddenly. Some from his congregation had the gall to show up at our workplace and start asking questions about if he had any life insurance, who the beneficiary was, if they had any knowledge about his 401K, and who was getting that, etc. Our boss kicked them out rather quickly(wise man), he came over to tell me what happened, because of my background. He told me that his mom got everything. I was glad to hear that. What a lot of nerve!
