  i'm looking for wts quotations that contrast with ii timothy 3:15-16 whereby they downplay scripture.. here is one from way back..

  "...people cannot see the divine plan in studying the bible by itself...if he then lays them [scripture studies] aside and ignores them and goes to the bible alone, though he has understood his bible for ten years, our experience shows that within two years he goes into darkness.

  on the other hand, if he had merely read the scripture studies with their references, and had not read a page of the bible, as such, he would be in the light at the end of the two years, because he would have the light of the scriptures," (watchtower, sept. 15, 1910, p. 298).

  im not sure if this has already been asked here but i have some questions about 1914. if jesus arrived "invisibly" in the year 1914 why do the anointed partake of the emblems?

  why didn't they stop in 1914?.

  if jesus is ruling in heaven then why are the anointed still on earth?

  Sometimes I think the organization will go one of 2 ways. One, “new light” will tell them that, since Christ already returned, invisibly, and he said to take the bread and wine “until I return”, they will stop the memorial, because He already returned. Or, 2, maybe they will announce “new light”, and have everyone partake. This one scares me, because of what they could put in the wine. (You know, poison)

  "brother mcmillan wrote "faith on the march" about his wonderful life at bethel.

  he wrote of an incident in 1943 where a group of witnesses in jail for refusing military service were against getting vaccinated and he came to the rescue visiting them and telling them it was ok. the reason for this was "the golden age" magazine in the 1920's describes vaccines as puss filled poison...so they were following their watchtower training..

  My mother was expelled from school because her parents didn’t vaccinate her. She got pretty sick with whooping cough, and measles. This was in the 1940’s.

  __________in 1923 i almost died.. allow me to explain .... on the day of my parole from seagoville federal correctional institution, i walked out of the entrance of the prison and my grandfather was waiting for me at the gate.. the last time i’d seen him was in 1967. today was 1969.. he looked older and i must have looked much skinnier.. i opened the door and climbed into the front passenger side.. there were no seat belts back then.. jack avery hybarger was a private man, very shy about looking into anyone’s eyes.. he bottled up his emotions.

  we weren’t a family that hugs or says “i love you.”.
