Very true, wanna exit. There is always an ulterior motive. They DO NOT want to show how badly the numbers have tanked.

by BoogerMan inthis is going to break the hearts of a lot of uber-jw's!
reddit has now removed the video link of samuel herd telling jw's they will no longer have to report time or placements - just tick a box which says "active.".

Cult or High Control Group?
by MillennialDawn ini see this phrase a lot: "the indication of a cult is what happens when you leave.
" i'm not sure where that originated, but it is a faulty categorization.
"cult" is almost always used in a derogatory way.

Stan live death, that was a wonderful post! I spoke this past Thursday at a Christian college. I know the professor. He asked me to speak about unions, from my perspective. Because I was in a union for 22 years, and had other jobs without unions. The class was “Business Ethics”. He asked me to give my background as well. So of course I mentioned I was raised a JW, and that it’s a cult. After my presentation, there was questions. I got more questions about JW’s than I did about unions. I was happy to oblige, and mentioned that I know where they stand with the carts, very near where the college is. Some are now planning to engage the carts. These are well educated Christian students. Have fun, cart people! 😂

Things JWs Say That Don't Mean What They Think It Means
by NotFormer insometimes things don't come across the way the speaker intended.. years ago there was an ad by the whitegoods company fisher and paykel.
they showed them going to great lengths to get customer feedback on what was important to them.
one customer said that she wanted it to be easy to get her appliances serviced when they broke down.

I heard that brainwashed statement too…the retort I heard was that they would rather have a washed mind than the ‘Dirty’ minds of the ‘Worldly’.

It seems as though the witnesses will soon house their Kingdom Halls inside prisons. For pedos, and those “persecuted “ for their faith.

Sagely advice of a CO
by Vidqun in“a circuit overseer started out by saying that on this last round of the circuit, the one thing he noticed the most...is that everyone is physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually drained...and that cuts across all barriers and demographics within the truth.
he then said that the one common thread that ran among nearly everyone was this: we feel guilty for feeling bad.
he said because we are told to endure with joy, our minds can cause us to feel enormous guilt over feeling this way...and then, my dear brothers and sisters...he proceeded to blow our collective minds.. he asked us to turn to daniel 8:27….

My elderly mom, a life long Jdub, used this phrase to describe her religion. “ Abhorrent, but necessary.” She hates it, but stays in because it’s “da troof.” I cannot fathom living my whole life in misery.

Exes: Would You Rat On A Current JW?
by NotFormer init's an interesting thought.
if you are an ex jw, presumably dfed, and you see a current jw in good standing engaging in behaviour that would concern their elders, would you pass on that information to interested parties?
do accusations from exes and other outsiders carry any weight?

Foolednomore, I got McDonalds lunch right before field service, with my then fiancée. Some JW, they wouldn’t tell me who, reported that he was smoking. It was a straw! Such assholes these witnesses are. We put up with so much crap from jealous morons.

“This is my son the beloved. Listen to HIM,”
by Fisherman inthe apostles and early christians suffered and died resulting from listening to jesus and jesus said this would happen.. but is listening to jesus the same as direction from the gb based on interpretation of the bible, for example, in medical treatment or other directions?
a christian could expect death or injury resulting from listening to jesus but should this validate possible erroneous understanding of the bible?
we know that peter was executed because of his christianity and so was jesus by the way.
