  When did WT recently change the Insight on the Scriptures -- that 31 year old Bible encyclopedia?

  i would like to pinpoint when watchtower made a dramatic backward editorial change in their 31 year old insight on the scriptures, their flagship bible encyclopedia.

  below, number 1 quotes the insight book as it appeared in the original release back in june 1988.. 1.

  “this is also illustrated by what happened to the cities of sodom and gomorrah and their inhabitants.

  National Siblings Day

  as has been mentioned, jws on social media seem to go overboard for the whole sibling day bandwagon, like they're so thrilled to participate in a holiday of sorts that hasn't yet been explicitly forbid that it's pathetic.

  so, it's okay to honor your brother and sister on a certain day, but it's wrong and pagan to honor your father and mother on a certain day, something that the bible specifically says to do?

  has anybody ever called them out on this, or seen someone else do it?

  i swear she had to be 13-14. she was preg!

  Stan livedeath, we have the same things in the inner cities of the US. It’s a shame, and a complex problem. I think these young people have no hope for a better life, so decide to live off the system.

  Going To The Meetings To Give A Witness

  e tricki've been tossing around the idea of perhaps going to a meeting in the future just to check things out i'm in no hurry this could happen months or years from now.

  i would like to give them a witness about some of the problems i see as a newly interested person checking things out.

  maybe just hanging back after coming to the meeting late and casually talking with people as a non pushy interested in what going on after some internet search led me to jw.org.

  i think i’m going insane.... i’m 17 years old and being raised in a jw household.

  i really want friends and a boyfriend but i can’t have that because my parents are jw and i’m also homeschooled.

  they are those jw parents that refuse to let me go to public school because of bad influences.

  Last year I was bugged to attend by my mom, I told her if I went I would partake, because I am a Christian. She dropped the subject. I’ve already decided if I’m approached by strangers with an invite, I’m going to ask, “Isn’t this that ceremony you have where you pass the bread and wine and no one partakes. That’s what they do at Satanic black mass, and I want no part of that. “ I figure that will shut them up fast, and maybe think.
