  watching in on my wife's zoom meeting last night, there was an item about discipline is love.

  they played a 'caleb' animated cartoon and then the instructions were 'if possible, ask selected young children' several questions.. it seems however, that there are no children in my wife's current congregation so the questions were all answered by retired brothers and sisters.

  the congregation mainly consists of elderly people (like us) and the few of childbearing age seem not interested in having children.

  disfellowshipping never really bothered me.

  i always thought it was just another way of getting rid of members that weren't welcome anymore.. but i've changed my mind.

  I think criminals should realize that bad stuff can happen when you go out to commit a crime. Even shoplifting, or passing a bad 20. I heard about a local case where a guy shoplifted something and was being chased out of the store, he was running away, and a woman with a concealed carry permit decided to shoot at this guy. She missed, but my point is, when you go out to make trouble, you might just find it. Remember Michael Brown? He was not an innocent kid, no stealing cigars doesn’t warrant the death penalty, but shit happens.

McHenry county courthouse, supposed to be a trial tomorrow? 2 elders accused of not reporting a case of CSA, a man (now in prison) who molested his own daughter. Because they failed to report (on WT lawyers say so), the abuse continued for over 10 years. The elders are Michael Penkava and Colin Scott.

  when you look back , did your witness associates act like normal human beings?

  did any of them ever show compassion and feelings for a disfellowshipped person?.

  any elders ever try to be kind to you, not “kind” as watchtower organization dictates, but truly kind and caring for you if you were experiencing difficulties?

  This is why I think there should be a class action lawsuit against the JW religion, many of us are traumatized, even though we didn’t get molested. I read something recently which made me understand something about myself. This constant barrage of “THE END” being sooo close had me constantly on edge, never able to be myself, knowing Jehovah hated me because I hated being a witness and being different, caused my brain to be flooded with cortisol all the time. It’s not good. They owe me! And many of you, also.
