  Knocking on schoolmates doors

  i left the jw's shortly after i graduated high school.

  but when i was still at home i'd get dragged into door to door every saturday morning without fail unless it was pissing rain.

  i can remember always being anxious to know what territory my group was assigned.

  Betty, I remember being in 1st grade, and half-heartedly saying the pledge, teacher kept me after class, she thought I didn’t know the words. I knew them very well, I had to explain to her about the 💩 beliefs. So embarrassing. All I wanted to do was fit in!

  Meeting attendance

  i was wondering what your guys' meeting attendance was like.

  our meetings here is like 50/50 with zoom and in person.

  the spanish has it a little "better" with it being like 30% zoom attendance with most attending in person.. i've heard of congregations in other states having attendance where most (even elders and ms) attend meeting only via zoom and even have their cameras off.

  Useless Majors

  i was passing through a very liberal college town recently during rush hour.

  so, i decided to stop for some refreshment at a fine-looking establishment and wait for traffic to die down.

  a young waitress waited on me who probably could have been stevie nicks twin when she was young.

  Art history seems pretty useless, unless you have a job as a museum curator lined up upon graduation. I told my daughter to go into nursing or engineering. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduated magna cum laude. And she’s a stay at home mom. She also told me she regretted not getting a teaching degree. 🤷‍♀️

  Dumb 'experiences' you were told as a JW

  this one stands out in my mind.

  it was reported that 'a brother', unnamed of course, was out in field service and was set upon by a pack of vicious dogs.

  he made it back to the car and was injured quite badly with his arms, hands and leg bleeding heavily.

  A sister told my mom that she had Smurf curtains in her babies room. One night, after he was put down, she opened the door to check on him. She saw the smurfs come off the curtains and dance around her sons crib. She took the curtains down and burned them. 💩

  They really only have a superficial understanding of what this “new system” is supposed to be like. They are leaving the details to “Jehovah” and his “magic” to fill in the details. If I asked too many questions as a kid, my parents told me not to worry about that, just make sure I “make it” into the new system. 🤷‍♀️🤮

  2022 governing body update # 6. what exciting news david splane has for all jehovah's witnesses ( who for the last three years were spared the house-to-house preaching work ) '' that we'll return to the ministry september 01, 2022. just in time for our world wide campaign to start bible studies.

  and, i'm sure the angels are excited too, because it will give them opportunities to help us with our ministry.''.

  not only will the witnesses be rusty in their return to the field ministry, the angels in heaven have been sitting idle while the pandemic stopped the house-to-house ministry.

  as you get older it seems, your medical needs slowly escalate and you find yourself more and more in front of medical professionals, at least that’s my experience.

  inevitably the question of blood arises.

  as a staunchly stuck in pimo, i relish the chance to educate these people about the reality of the hlc and it’s policing function for dubs.

  Naked in the New World

  i know there was a painting of a woman being resurrected naked and someone coming to greet her holding clothes, but what about after perfection, after the thousand years?.

  the idea is we're supposed to achieve what adam lost by returning to human perfection, so wouldn't that include not wearing clothes, especially as the act of adam and eve hiding in the trees and sewing fig leaves signified shame, and imperfection passed on through the reproductive organs.

  has the wt ever addressed this?

  Yes, Jehovah likes men in suits and ties, short hair, and clean shaven. If you don’t believe me, just ask anyone on the Governing Body, they know for sure.
