Rattigan, I had to respond to your post. I consider myself liberal, socially anyway, and when I was pregnant, 30 years ago, the Dr. asked me if I had a boy, did I want him circumcised. I blurted right out, without thinking, “Of course, when he gets older no one will want to put their mouth on it if it isn’t.” He smiled, and marked his chart. Btw, I’m American, and most men are circumcised here, even though there’s a few semi-nut jobs that don’t like it. I knew a German sister, about 35 years ago, whose unbelieving husband would not let their boy get circumcised. This boy was begging his mother (he was 14) to take him to the Dr. for this. His father forbade it, but the boy had to shower daily in gym class, and the other boys made fun of him.

i used to post on h2o as well.
i think i once posted some of this on h2o, but there are many new ones who have joined since then.. i first encountered jw's at the age of 9. it wasn't in the door-to-door work, however.

Watchtower looses Norwegian Appeal
by Diogenesister inwatchtower has just lost its appeal in the norwegian courts over the withdrawal of the funding it receives from the government as an officially recognised religion.
the initial decision will now stand due to what the court termed 'exclusionary practices' which includes the witnesses barbaric practice of shunning minors, even by family members in their own homes.

I never had a happy birthday this year 5/7
by smiddy3 inmy wife had a hip replacement on june the 17th and while the op itself was apparently succesful ,she has had a reaction to the anesthetic ?
and has suffered delirium and is still in hospital with no apparent improvement.. its been very distressing for me to say the least.
sorry if i sound a bit morbid but i just had to share,.
