Ron W, my mom didn’t know that teaching about Jesus not being their mediator either, I showed it to her in her Insight book…I watched the cognitive dissonance kick in.

I clearly remember (for whatever reason) I sat without my parents, toward the front of the hall. That particular program, the elder on the platform, read that scripture where Jesus says, “Take my yoke, because my yolk is kindly and my load is light.” The elder then, with a gesture, stated, “See, the load is light.” I knew the load was heavy, I turned around to look at all the faces behind me did not agree with him, either.
Funny, talking about facial expressions, I came back to the hall for my dad’s funeral. I successfully faded, about 10 years before. My husband was by my side, my toddler daughter on my hip. Many witnesses expressed condolences to me, but their faces looked jealous. Because I was free! And they were slaves. 🙁

Ecclesiastes 9:5 -"the dead know nothing at all"

the author does not make statements, but only wonders (thinks, observes, often raises questions, and leaves them open).
he looked at the world based on the law of moses and found nothing but vanity, as the earthly reward promised in the law did not always accompany good deeds and earthly punishment for evil deeds.

Joined an online meeting incognito
by joey jojo ingot a link for a zoom meeting and thought id share my experience about the mid-week meeting.. guessing about 100 - 120 in cong.. 50 on zoom, only 8 with cameras on - all elderly.
watching from a detached point of view it's so obvious at how it is nothing but a glorified sales meeting, all designed to promote the org.
inspirational videos about how everyone can/ should do more to help with projects, in particular how to look after the kingdom hall, complete with bar charts showing levels of achievement to aspire to.. interestingly, tonights book study is about alcohol..

I overheard some of my mom’s zoom meeting once, all the comments were talking about “Satan”, and how he is everywhere, trying to “get” the witnesses. I heard at least 5 times the name “Satan” mentioned, “ Jesus”, not once. SMH

Young "Elders"
by XBEHERE inever since the annual meeting last october and the letter to bodies of elders stating that "exceptional young men perhaps in their early 20's could qualify for appointment as elders.." it even states this in the updated elders manual!
have any of you pimo's, pimq's, or those on here with family/friends still in hear of any young men being appointed as elders yet?
i am talking 21, 22, 23, 24 etc.

Blondie: I saw witnesses calling on my Hindu next door neighbor. I asked him if he was interested, he said no, he took literature to be polite, and now he can’t get rid of them. I had him bring up JWfacts.com on his phone. Next time they came, I told him to bring that up on his phone and show it to them. After he did, they never came back, 👍🏻
