don't be too surprised if soon when you read a latest wt or go to their meetings that all you hear is some of the standard evangelical xtian stuff like grace, faith, kindness, mercy etc and no (and i mean no) endtimes crap, organsation or fds anymore.. btw this prediction is not in the name of god.

why doesn't the wt society use acts 8:3 in various translations (tev, niv, pme, jb, liv eng, ncv, barclay, nlt, cev) in support of their interpretation of "house to house"?????.
i mean saul (b4 conversion) went persecuting christians by going house-to-house..... ak

by TheApostleAK injust letting you guys all know that a certain kingdom hall in south australia has a 6ft x 4ft pin-up board that has half of it that is strictly devoted to anything to do with the whole catholic, anglican child abuse scandals...they're particularly gloating over newspaper articles about the possibility of the boston r.c.
church going bankrupt.... also, quote from awake article on child abuse published in the 8/4/99 issue (pages 6-7) makes this accusation about the clergy then quotes a book:.
"in australia a review of the book the battle and the backlash: the child sexual abuse war commented on child abuse by clergymen and others in positions of trust.

Actually I visited it last weekend and I asked an visiting speaker who was an elder (who didn't know i'm DA) about the pinup board and we got talking and HE brought up the subject of the Sunday program and he said that the JW here in Adelaide have been copping alot of sh*t about that program.

Newspaper: The Advertiser (Adelaide, South Australia)
Date: Thursday, 23rd of January 2003
Page: 11Article headline: "Forgive Us Our Trespassers - SB The Ram Didn't". (Note: 'Trespassers' not 'Trespasses').
Basically 2 JW's (father + daughter) were country witnessing and they entered a farm (which was fenced totally around) and as they approached the house the male JW was charged by a pet ram named SB. He tried to fend it off with his suitcase but was knocked to the ground with a broken shin.
Article (rightly) points out that if they had read the sign on the gate "PRIVATE KEEP OUT" (Article has pic of farmer standing behind gate...the sign on the gate is right next to the gate-chain the JW's had to unlock to enter the property) the incident would not have happened.
The JW who broke his shin afterwards took the farmer AND the Adelaide Congregation of JW's to court!!!
The injured JW said in court that SB the ram "was a dangerous and ferocious animal" and [farmer] was negligent for not keeping it confined. (Err, the farm was totally fenced off). Also said that he entered the property to "engage in biblical discussion". (Weak excuse for justification to enter private property). Injured JW said he had to sell his "hose-fitting" business and is only able to walk small distances and his quality of life is diminished. (The incident happened in July 2001)
The injured JW sued the Adelaide Congregation Of Jehovahs Witnesses for "failing to provide proper instructions about doorknocking in rural areas".
Farmer in his defence said the JW's had entered the property "uninvited, unwanted and without notice".
Now here the kicker, The Adelaide Congregation Of Jehovahs Witnesses said in its defence (I'll reproduce the whole 2 paragraphs in the article here):
"In it's defence, the Adelaide Congregation Of Jehovahs Witnesses said doorknocking was VOLUNTARY and followers WERE NOT OBLIGED to undertake the activity.
"Whether or not anyone claiming to be one of the Jehovahs Witnesses and the extent of such involvement is a personal matter for each individual to decide," it said. (Capitals mine)
So field service is now optional??????????
Anyone here wanna do a search on the WT CDROM for statements saying that field service is compulsory/optional????
The Adelaide Congregation Of Jehovah's Witnesses wasn't found to be negligent (based on the argument that the JW didn't have to be there) and the farmer made a confidential out-of-court settlement, which was covered by his insurance company.
To quote 'Dirty' Harry Callahan: "The law's crazy!"
P.S. I'll be definitely getting the court transcripts to this one!

Pot calling the kettle black? Switch the words "clergymen and others in positions of trust" for "Watchtower Bible And tract Society"...
3 paragraphs later the article says:
"In recent years, evidence of worldwide child abuse has been growing, so that today there is a mountain of such evidence that can no longer be denied or ignored. But most agree that the elimination of child abuse is a formidable task. So these questions arise: Is there anyone who can really protect our children? How can those of us who are parents protect our God-given heritage and look after the lives of our vulnerable young children? To whom can parents turn for help?"
They certainly can't turn to you guys (JW's).
