  80's Apostasy.....

  i read somewhere (possibly from apocalpyse delayed) that during the 80's that a whole congregation da'd themselves from the borg and that when the borg tried to take control of the kh the borg representatives were actually charged with trespassing.

  anyone heard this story?

  anyone got any similar stories they heard or or seen?

  just heard from an elder friend from a neighbouring congregation that a nearby congregation has had the whole body of elders removed for wrongdoing.

  this one scripture has bothered me for a while.

  i've asked elders everywhere on this one and just get confused looks.... according to a wt in 1953, the nwt rendering of 1:1 at the time was: "paul, an apostle of christ jesus thru god's will, to the holy ones who are also faithful ones in union with christ jesus.".

  wouldn't the correct rendering be: "paul, an apostle of christ jesus thru god's will, to the holy ones who are [in ephesus] who are also faithful ones in union with christ jesus."???

  Old light in WT study books...

  can anybody tell me what parts of these 3 bible study books are considered "old light"?:.

  * "the bible - gods word or man's?".

  * "true peace and security - how can you find it?".

  Watchtower books...

  i don't know if this has been brought up before...has anyone noticed that the books the watchtower have been printing lately have now got thinner covers with colour pictures?

  -> the "knowledge" book is brown with gold stamped lettering.. -> the "family" book is dark blue with gold stamped lettering.. -> the "greatest" man book is brown with gold stamped lettering.. -> and the "search" book is red with with gold stamped lettering.. all 4 books above have got thick covers with no pictures.

  just found out tonite that my congregation currently has 13 bible studies happening at the moment.

  and 11 of them are family member bible studys.

  does anyone else on this board know the number of bible studys for their cong?

  i'm an unbaptised publisher at the moment and next month i'm thinking of doing the amount of hours that a pioneer does.

  do you lot reckon it would be worthwhile for me to do it?

  or should it stick with the usual 5 hours a month?
