The 1957 Theocratic War Strategy missing page is nothing revisionist. If you look at almost ALL the reprinted bound volumes, you will see the same - that the last page is blank. And why? Because the books advertised for in the original bound volumes or original loose magazines no longer were available, were out of print, at the time the reprinted volumes were issued. You'll find lots and lots of these white back pages. Adverts removed, not TWS specifically removed.

Watchtower Library NOT identical to printed publications
by cedars ini realise the title of this thread will come as no surprise to many of you.
i've certainly heard before of subtle variations between extracts from the watchtower library and the actual printed literature.. what i didn't expect was to find this openly admitted to in the license agreement for the watchtower library, where it says in article 4:.
4. limited warranty.

Healthworker stated that "My wife are going to therapy these days, after learning TTATT (directly caused by Gerrit's crazy talk in Norway 2012).Guess what? The psychiatrist actually treats other jw who stopped going to meetings after his famous speach here in Norway. She said that one guy just made the decision that enough was enough. Their whole family are inside, so they went underground... "
Are you stating that your wife's psychiatrist has told your wife that the psychatrist is having sessions with another JW? That the psychiatrist has given out vital and personal information about another client?

Latest WT: Reduction in branch offices is "visible proof" that Christ is "breaking down human barriers"
by cedars inas has already been mentioned, the december 15th watchtower (study edition) is now online and available for download on this link.. i couldn't help but smile at the concluding comments of the final study article on page 28 where it had this to say:.
"the very concept of foreigner has already lost much of its meaning among jehovahs witnesses, who pay little attention to the nationality of those in their midst.
recently, for example, several of their smaller branch offices were merged to simplify the work of oversight and to improve efficiency in accomplishing the preaching of the good news of the kingdom.

"They were illegally not paying tax for years."
Not quite so, was it? The were singled out as the only religious organization that would have to pay such a tax, and the reason how the authorities came up with the figure, was that the WT voluntarily stated how much they had received in private funding. No other religious group was told to come up with their figures, and had the WT followed the others and not given their own figures, they would have not have been taxed. So they were not taxed because they illegally had not done something, but because they wanted to follow the law and state the amount - and THEN they were taxed, as the one and only organization to be so.
And the two accounts you quote from, tell the same story.

List of Branch Offices and Country Offices of Jehovah's Witnesses
by cedars ini'm trying to put together a comprehensive master list of watch tower society branch offices that corresponds roughly with the figure published in the worldwide report.. i feel it would be useful to monitor the number and location of existing branch offices, because i believe the distribution of branch offices worldwide is a good indicator of the society's financial wellbeing.
we now seem to be entering a period of branch office closures, with last year seeing an unprecendented 16% reduction in branch office numbers over the year before.
it will be interesting to see how things develop moving forward, but i'm hoping that by keeping a list of the offices we will be better placed to keep track of the "retreat" if branch office numbers continue to dwindle.. here we go.... .

Africa, cedars - I would suspect it is not easy to combine branches there because of language and tribal barriers as well as all sorts of troubles with borders and customs etc., don't you think? When you read news articles about what is happening in many African countries, and then imagine people from one tribe or country should live in another one's territory, that literature should be sent across borders and thru rebel groups' areas etc. - I very much believe it is the safest way to keep all business within the established political (colonial) frontiers.

Moshe received proof of a spiritual afterlife in 1999
by moshe ini have posted this experience of mine before- it's time to resurrect it again.. in 1999 i was in bed asleep and i had a dream- my father and i were shoping at a clothing store called fazios, that i hadn't been inside since i was a boy (closed for many years).
we were looking at some denim overhalls and in walks my mother and brother ( she died in 1991 and my brother had died five months previously).
they told my dad, it's time to go.

And then the inevitable questions - why so many have similar dreams but nothing happens, and why people are in life-threatening situations or die and close friends and relatives have no warnings like these told here but are so brutally surprised or taken completely off guard when told about has happened?
I don't doubt the story, and I am open to all possibilities - but it is this damned problem of what is pure coincidence and what is not. Someone claims he was protected and another one died. Someone says it was not his time but another one clearly met his time.
Always enough clues are given for the believers to continue believing, but never enough proof for the sceptics to start believing. Some hints but not more, some clues but not the whole picture - distressing indeed.

Evidence For Impending Change Re: "Loose Conduct" to "Brazen Conduct"
by DarioKehl inon another thread discussing possible changes to the nwt, the post refered to a 2nd-hand report of a co leaking possible changes to 5 verses where "loose conduct" would be replaced by "brazen conduct.
" although it is merely speculative at this point, i would like to remind those of you who did attend the 2012 dc this summer about some important evidence that supports this theory.
if the program is still available on jw.org, feel free to see this for yourselves.

I wouldn't overdo or overplay or as much as you do, DarioKehl - the fall could be a very deep one. There is nothing new to this, and your comments on being df'ed because of coming too late to the meetings - please come down to earth, please don't grind your axe too much, lest it disappears completely.

Yes, i can confirm.
The Scandinavian branch has seven overseers, three Swedish, two Danish and two Norwegians.

Loesch stated as a reason that many who had served for a long time and were advanced in years, had died recently. He gave that as a contributing reason.
