I do not quite know if you are being sarcastic, or if you are misunderstanding the JW "words", but this part of your comment is not QUITE what the talks are about, is it?

"10:20 Symposium: Who WILL inherit God's Kingdom? Those who are poor (aka those who don't plan for retirement, don't get higher education, who give all their money to the GB so they can travel 1st class and enjoy life as the R@F do all the work)"

Poor here refers to those who are aware of their spiritual needs and do their best to obtain knowledge.

"Those who become as young children (aka those who reject education, who don't think critically, and accept without question all utterances from the GB)"

Refers to there being no rivalry etc among them.

"3:00 Enter the Kingdom Maimed, Lame, or One-Eyed (aka damage control for end not coming and living in poverty and unable to take care of health needs, and encouragement to reject taking care of health needs and finances to further worship the GB first)"

Refers to turning away from or distancing oneself from what might ruin one's spirituality, such as materialism, pornography, alcoholism etc.

As I said, either you are being - successfully - sarcastic, or you are not too familiar with JW words.

admittedly, i haven't been keeping up the way i used to.

i just saw on jw.org a publication entitled "research guide for jehovah's witnesses".

Annual indexes, bound volumes and the CD are available, so there is no reason for worrying too much, is it? This new tool was advertised at last year's DC as a simplified research tool dealing with specific topics, that would not be a substitute for the CD, but be helpful for those not having a CD in their language, those in field service thru new devices connecting to the WOL etc.

"proof" is a reconstruction like frankenstein's monster kept alive by flashes of "new light" made up as needed to revitalize a quivering monstrosity.. at first glimpse it looks like science.

It was sold by WTB&TS, could be obtained in like manners as Byington's "The Bible in Living English", but they did not buy the printing plates or printing rights or anything, it said on the title page it was issued by some prinitng agency whose name slipped my mind just now - Loisseaux Brothers or something like that. So nice comment, EdenOne - it is rather difficult to promote your works after your own death. Much anger here.

court rejects missionary lawsuit against netanya schools for voiding leasethe tel aviv magistrates court has rejected a claim by a missionary group, saying that the school they had been renting space in unlawfully voided their contract , and asking the court to instruct the school to pay nis 108,000 in compensation and mental anguish, as well as legal expenses.. it began when a missionary group, via a non-profit organization called "mitzpe l'yisrael", rented space at the raziel school in netanya to conduct daily afternoon activities.

shortly after signing the rental agreement , the school authorities discovered that the group was, in reality, the notorious missionary sect of "jehovah's witnesses".

When writing to the Israel branch, the name of the organization is not for example "JW in Israel" etc, but "Watchtower Association of Israel, RA" - so is WT is the name they use (in order to get any letters thru at all ) then why could they not use that name, their official, when trying to rent a location?

absolutely gobsmacked over this, don't the brothers see any correlation between this and the likes of jimmy swaggart?

Making this a problem or something to be shocked about - I just don't get it. Maybe you still use cash to a great extent in the US? I don't know. But I do know that here in Europe cash is used to only a very very small extent. If a child comes around to my house selling cookies, or selling the Sunday newspaper, there is a wild chase around the house to try to find some cash, and ususlly we don't succeed. At the assemblies, only very few carry cash. So why not use machines? I seriously don't get the exitement.

JWs will not get exited. But the evangelicals at my work ARE exited and preparing for a great war, and one of them is constantly checking if there are any troop movements towards Israel.

Every abuser should get his/her judgment, no doubt - but where does it say he was a JW? It isn't mentioned in the newspaper cuttings?
