Read what I said once more. You also whould try to have two thoughts in your head at the same time. First thought: Zone visits have taken place for decades. Second thought: For the last couple of years they have been piped.

Totally wrong. You must remember one little thing: USA is not the World. Over here in Europe zone visits have been piped for years. What you have done in the US is your "thing", but you must remember that things take place outside of your little pond as well

I have been in the JW community for DECADES too and I could not tell you one thing about what a "zone visit" entails. Why is 2014 different? I think that is the point of this thread, isn't it?"
They HAVE been piped to every KH in the zone. We had it piped last year - 2013 - and this year - 2014 - and it has been announced recently that it will be piped in March 2015 as well. And before that, it was transferred thru telephone lines both in 2010 and 2011 and 2012. So there is absolutely NOTHING new about it.

Recent Update - Service Report
by Da.Furious inon oct. 22, eight brothers were released from prison in turkmenistan by presidential amnesty.
(see 2014 yearbook, p. 31) the ninth brother is still imprisoned, but it is hoped that he will be released shortly.
some were already in prison for three or more years and had been severely mistreated.

I AGREE WITH THE JWs: THE 'SOUL' DOESN'T EXIST
by NAVYTOWN ini agree with the witnesses about almost nothing, but i do think they have the right idea when it concerns the 'soul'.
it is my belief that there is no such entity as a 'soul' that resides in a human being.
the idea originated in ancient, pre-scientific eras.

One can get around it thru the knowledge that there really is no "original" you, because your celles are renewed constantly, and so who you are in five years from now on the cell or molecular level is someone totally different from the one you are today. Still, it is you somehow.

Where have the other 1.7 million gone?"Well, close to one million have died (1% each year). And as stated repeatedly, one cannot compare the number of baptised and the growth, that is like comparing apples and oranges, because one does not have to be baptised to be a publisher.

NEW LEVY FORCED ON WITNESSES?

sorry if this is old news.. just heard from someone whose meeting is on a tuesday evening; basically, 3 per publisher is to be levied to "replace" the kh insurance payment.
the money will be used for damage, vandalism, & disasters, but also to protect any of the societies' entities.. .

No levy is forced on anybody. But the annual insurance that the congregation pays for the damages you mention, is when divided on each baptised publisher so and so much. No forced payment, but an indication on how much the congregation pays per capita.
