Why the disrespect for Jesus?

now i understand completely that most in this forum are 100% against jws and the watchtower.

what i don't understand is the disrespect that has been shown for such a sacred occasion that is the memorial (last supper).

whether you agree with jws or not, the fact is that the last supper has a lot of meaning for christians.

What you fail to understand is that TRUE christians are all a part of the body of Christ. The JWS say it is only 144,000, this is wrong.
Why would a True Christian want to go to a celebration that discourages them from partaking in the body of Christ?

Secondly, Do the math and you will see that Nisan 14 was yesterday not today. The whole thing is wrong, why would any Christian want to participate in something Jesus would NOT approve of?

ok - here is an interesting one for ya'll.

just throwing it out there for your thoughts.. the "lords evening meal" is always celebrated on the day that corresponds to nissan 14. my parents are still jw's and (as ya'll know) the memorial service is the "most important meeting of the year" - they literally cry if i don't go.

so i'm thinking - i'll show my mother and father honor by going - i can fake it through one meeting right?!

The NEW MOON started on March 14. Jews start the month with the new moon. March is Nisan. So, this year March 14th is the first day of the month (and 1st of the year for that matter). Which means that March 14th is Nisan 1, now count 13 more days and you get to March 27 as being Nisan 14th. My husband saw that as clear as a bell but now he's asking on what side of the world is that? rrrrr....

Simon, that's great but I'm trying give a good witness to my husband that the JWs have it wrong, I'm having this conversation with him right now... How do I fully explain how the Jews come up with the Day as being yesterday not today?

So far so good with the fact that tonight is actually Nisan 15 but I need to show him why the Jews started passover yesterday.

i am dissassociated

my letter, a one page 4 line d.a.

letter was mailed sunday.. it simply stated, i was dissassociating myself.. i received an email, tuesday, that they had received it.. my guess is it will be announced next tuesday.. i will and am, finally free.. .

i went back and forth for months about this, nearly 4 months.
i reasoned back and forth, could i fade? would i be left alone? should i just do it, and relief the stress of the whole thing?

This is what I'm currently going through. I really want to DA myself and just move on with my life but then I also don't want my husband and his family to shun me so I guess I can't have it both ways. The hardest part is this "stuck" feeling and not knowing WHEN it will all be over and I can be completely free and truely happy.

I'm glad to hear that you feel "great" and are finally free. It's sounds like it truely was the right time for you to do it. It gives me hope to hear accounts such as yours. I wish you the best and above all happiness in your future always.

i just stumbled onto this website whilst messing about on the internet and i've taken exception to quite a lot of what i've seen here.

incase you think i'm some irate jehovah's witness idiot who's been offended by the terrible blasphemy that he's read on here, i'm not.

i was raised a jw, but now i'm not one.. first of all, given the url, i thought this website was in some way affiliated with the jehovah's witness organization, whereas in reality it seems from the posts i've read that most people here are either former jehovah's witnesses or soon-to-be former jehovah's witnesses.

Many have families that threw them out in the street at a young age and won't even speak with them.

I find all these "things they don't teach you in the Kingdom Hall" as plausible as the aliens that the US government are apparently in cahoots with.

OK, will someone please get out the watchtower magazines that explain how family members are told to shun a DF or DA person, so that little lamb can see for herself.

You can start here little lamb and see how the WBTS tells the public one thing but it's members another regarding shunning.

A Heads Up On Potential Heads Off...

hello,.

some of you who have 'drifted' from the wts may not be aware than in recent months the wts has required co's to report the names and circumstances of those who have become 'inactive'.

the elders are required to visit each one and report to the co on his next visit as to where they are, who they are and why they have gone 'inactive'.. as ever there may be mixed motives with this arrangement, but it as well to be prepared.. best regards - hs

Why must you now spend your lives "exposing the hypocrisy of the WBTS"?

Someone has to do it...

Actually the WBTS does a pretty good job at exposing themselves... most of us here just want it made public and known... We can only hope that this will, in the future, help others so that they will not have to suffer as we have or endure the pain that we have. We hope for a time in the future when others will not lose friends and family due to the shunning doctrine or lose friends and family to premature death because of the blood doctrine...

Regarding why this website might appear to be affiliated with the Watchtower, I think someone else here has explained to you how the owner of this site was a JW when he started it but is no longer a JW. So, you see it wasn't anything purposely done to mislead anyone and even if it had been, the WBTS doesn't play fair, so why should we?

I don't think that JWs brainwash anyone, I wasn't brainwashed, and I never saw it happen to anyone else. Most of the people I grew up with, at the KH, have now left, so I doubt they were either.

Read up on cult groups and mind control and see if you find any similarities, then get back to us.
