What I try to attempt in my life is to establish truth, that is all. from no matter where i hear it or learn it.

Let's say I read the WT or A! (which i haven't for 2 years) you say I have a closed mind.

Then when you say I read Mr Franz's books I have an open mind. Get my point?

I read everything with an open mind. just because someone says something doesn't make it so.

Remember, what the adage says (especially about newspapers), 'Don't believe EVERYTHING you read."

That includes Mr. Franz

Notice I said "EVERYTHING." I don't believe EVERYTHING he says. I would love to believe every single word of it, believe me I would. But I'm not, I'm just not that way... anymore.

It appears that everything is constucted in a logical manner, the reasoning is just as good as the WTBS -remember he was there writing for you and me at one time, don't forget that. After years-and-years of tautological rebrobate, he still is in essence the same man.

He's just come clean that's all.

He's given his side of the story.

Remember there are always THREE sides to a story.

I appreciate the books. They are eye openers. I read C-o-C years ago and am now reading IS-o-CF. However, I am still leary of someone who toots their own horn like they are the big innovator or the thinker of the group.

This is a guy that helped ruin many lives. Once a liar always a liar. He wrote this stuff as a catharsis, and we get to share. He thinks because he has this weight off his shoulders, some how he is forgiven.

His tone sounds like he did this and did that. My Dad's the same way. you can sit there and he'll lie straight to ya'. Tell ya' what you want to hear. Listening to my father talk you'd think he was Jesus Christ himself.

Well when I read Mr. Franz's books, i get that same tone.

Get this Mr. Franz, you got people kissing your butt now, the same way they used to kiss the WTBS. People this is One of the guys that helped ruin all your lives!!! And now your're kissing his butt?! Again?!

Haven't you noticed as your reading the books he never casts himself in a bad light; that is, after he left Bethel? That's the impression I get.

Because of this guy and ones like him I doubt almost everything I read, even when I know it's true.

I would like to know how all the references to sources names, people, events, times and places, seem all too perfect. It's like he's referencing personnal files. Do you really think that when he left Bethel they would allow him to take his personnal files with him? Now that would make them really stupid!!! He's lucky he got out of there with the shirt on his back.

Maybe he snuck them out over a period of years. I don't know.

Either that or he has an extremely incredible memory.

I stated to my borther-in-law who is an elder at Bethel. why does it seems that the society seems to blame all its woes on the great "Apostacy" and Ray Franz. first thing everyone says, "Well, it was Ray Franz...." I say: "oh that's right the society, has it's scape goat." I even heard that it was Mr. Ray Franz's fault about 1975! The culture around Bethel this appears to be the unspoken case and the higher ups don't correct it but then they don't deny it either they just have a quite acquiesence and let every there think the status quo.

Thanks for that long list of dates all in chron order. and referenced too.

I have known nothing else, I've been a JW all my life and have been higly aware of things since I was about 8. That makes 34 years of solid indoctrination. However, I never really have just accpeted things. I've researched some things to see if things were so. Many were, others weren't. I have also been critical of the WTBS for many years. Never made it to elder, or even M.S. I think it was just because I was ignored, which hurt tremendously.

Although i seen idiots being appointed, all becuased they kissed ass. Something I don't think i ever did.

Anyway, If you don't believe the dates, obviously, do you believe that there ever will be a GT or Arm? Or something like it?

It's the JWs I challenge, I challenge them with the bible. I DO believe it's teaching and I do believe there will be an Arm. Just like the flood was a global event so will Arm

Any Non-Anointed JW's Posting Here?

are there any jw's posting here who believe that they are not of the anointed class?.

also, of the jw's who post here who do consider themselves as of the anointed class, do you feel that you have a special mission with regard to making ex-jw's aware of their standing with their creator?.

Do any of you remember those who could never figure out wwhether were of the O.S. or the A.

I started making a joke about that and started calling these people

O.S.A's not spelled out but read like a word (o-sah, or if you like ah-so) -the etymology being, of the word originating from a-hole).

On a publisher record card they will be the initial A. for -Anointed and O.S. -for Other Sheep

There for another O.S.A. or crossed off or scratched off and then added back in a repeated string all along the whole top of the card

I don't know why but I so comfortable here (in all these forums). I haven't felt this comfortable in so long. I feel like crying.

Last night, i put a post on a thread about education. It got me so mad about some others were saying. I let Hell break loose. when I got home I just went to bed. didn't watch the movie, i rented twice. This morning when i came in i was expecting the worst. So far all I got were hearing and understanding ears.

Is it really true, that I can be myself here? Even if i disagree with anyone?

Do you guys and gals get bothered when people stare at you for your pink hair and tattoos?

I've seen some, that appear to be quite beutiful.

I would like to get some tattos, but I'm afraid of getting a disease.

I have to admit though the bible does put some emphasis on appearance. Even so, I wish I had always had a full maine of hair when I was younger and a beard and nipple rings. Now I'm dealing with the balding. A slow cruel process from God to further take away my dignity.

I do have a piercing, down there..., ya know..., down there... I did it my self. -True. Now I have another place to hang my keys!!!

BTY does anyone know where I can get a 12 inch tattoo for my penis? -snicker. Uh, lets forget I mentioned the the nipple rings. -Really Ouch.

!ONE MORE ELDER FACING WTS EXECUTION Part II.!

after i came home last night i sat down to have dinner when five minutes later i received a phone call.

i did not picked up the phone.

then it rang again and refuse to answer it so i let the answering machine handle it.

I know that it can be very stressful.

The very first thing that happens is that you lose your entire network of friends. Some risk losing their business, or jobs because it can't handle the drop in revenue, when they don't come around anymore, or when you're witness employer doesn't want you around anymore.

I feel that this one immediate action, and God forbid it's given the label Apostate, probably keeps many people in the WTBS. It's equivalent to someone being sentenced to all eternal burning firey Hell. There's disfellowshipping and then there's the disfellowshipping for Apostacy. -Ouch.

My brother disassociated himself and then went later called an Elder on the phone about a brother in the Elder's Hall and started to tell him how that brother owed him about $200. The Elder said, "Your're disaccoiated, aren't you?" and then hung up. They actually thought the brother no longer owed my brother the money simply because he wasn't a JW anymore!

Same thing with me, same Elder. I was disfellowshipped for a time. Yeah that's right, baptized twice in Natick, MA, USA and then disfellowshipped after, and then reinstated after that, and now inactive. Can any of you top that dysfunction? I'm like the Richard Louis of the JWs or the Rocky of JWs, I keep coming back for more and I don't know when to quit, even when the sequels have reached their breaking point). I guess I deserve everything I Gott coming to me.

Anyway, my first child is born and the threat of blood transfusion came up. I was scared stiff. My Dad calls the same Edler, we'll call him, hummm, let me see, bro. Fred Gott. And says, my son needs help what's the latest on the Committee(right now I still believe in the sanctity of blood -I read the bible, and the sanctity of blood, to me, is still clear). Anyway He says, "you're sons disfellowshipped, isn't he?" and my father says, "Well the baby isn't."

what job could you have had?

hi i've just come home from cleaning windows.what an absolutely soul destroying job.. when i think of the things i could have done.. i remmember how my teachers in school used to tell me i would surely go to university and get a good job.i remmember the shock on one teachers face a few years after i left school when i told her i was a window cleaner.. i was also intrested in art and quite good at it.my grandfather who wasn't a witness offered to help me and my brother get good jobs in the art world.. we turned him down.. arrmegeddon was so soon.. anyone else like me ?.

what do you do and what could you have done?

I just remembered a couple.

There was this sister who wanted ot get training in something, banking, finance, secretarial, whatever.

she asked an Elder, Charlie Cook (self-righteous pompeous ahole), never really did like him. Anyway, he discouraged her in every which way a person could be discouraged. Later a job opening or opportunity comes open for him. As I heard from her it was a job in Conn, USA. Anyway, he either can't take it, or has to up his skills by taking a few courses or maybe a full time degree. If it does that, he's got the job or eventually, one just like it.

He takes the courses and/or gets his degree and now he's some high paid whatever. she either had to semi-support herself on welfare, because her idiot husband drove her half crazy and she got out.

Another acquaintance of my told me (from RI, USA) that he was interested in buying a cleaning business and told an Elder in his hall about it. The elder tells hime this-and-that about why it isn't a good idea and that it would interfere with his spirituality, blah, blah, blah.

What does the elder do? he buys the business and as I understand, it's making him money hand-over-fist. keeping him plenty busy too.

The other guy worked, at a rather well paying job, for a grocery store called Almacs for many years. I've lost touch with him. Anyway the chain of stores goes bankrupt and he lost his job.
Sure hope everything worked out OK from him.

My sister, was good enough to be a model and even appeared in some swimsuit ads in Cosmo -seen them myself.

But she took to hitting the sauce and worse. All part of the same dysfunction that i attribute to the WTBS.
