well, i've finally had it.
i'm da'ing myself, along with a piece of my fam.
the unbaptised ones are refusing to go with my father now, and even my still devout father is leaning towards our opinion on things.. there wasn't even any screaming when i called the jw's the great hypocrisy last nite.. i just can allow myself to be associated with them in any way.

It is a weird feeling you get when you cant take it any more. You feel that you will die if you had to sit through one more useless meeting..........You look at all the books, mags and realize that all the useless/wrong information is just that, and you feel robbed by all the time you studied them week after week, only to see the new light fade to old, useless, outdated crap.
What was the last "straw" for you? ((((((hand shake))))))

i ask this question: lets say for a moment the jw world does come crashing down (very unlikely).
who would fill the void left by the jws?
more moonies?
part 4: the last km school .
the average jw elder participates in extra exclusive activities over and above the rank & file jw: among them are the judicial committees, private meetings with the circuit and district overseer on various official occasions, possession of the secretive flock book, and kingdom ministry school.. of all these, the least frequently experienced is km school.
it is not all that exciting, because much of what is covered is admonition about what most jws already know that elders are supposed to be doing: examples in field service, regular shepherding calls, meeting preparation and attendance, study with the family, etc.
Very good, Amazing! I remember at my last KM school, the Elders had to show their filled out No Blood Cards to gain entrance into the School. We were not told until we reached the door!

Grave dancer: “ Perhaps some schooling in what is known as "Rational Thinking" might be in order” You are truly right, however, for half my life I thought I was in the school. Man, was I fooling myself! How do you make the “light turn on?” Seems so hard.............

I ask this question: Lets say for a moment the JW world does come crashing down (very unlikely). Who would fill the void left by the Jws? More Moonies? More Scientology folk? What is the question all Jws ask themselves time and time again? “But, where will we go if we don’t have the organization?”
I believe that because of the nature of humans, with a majority wanting to be told what to do and how to live (many give this power to the government), that reform is a more realistic goal (See Freeman’s post on How can we cause the most damage to the WT?).
How many issues would need to be reformed to make the Jws more human/religious/family friendly? Should we keep in mind the religious aspect of the Jws as Christians?
I see about four areas of reform that is reflected in Raymond Franz’ second book, “In search of Christian Freedom.”
1. The Centralized Authority Issue,
2. The Legalism Issue,
3. The Misuse of Disfellowshipping
4. The Blood Issue.
Now the list is not all-inclusive. Yet, many of the sub-issues would be covered by at least one of the above categories.
Or, am I way off base??????????

i was speaking recently to a jw and we talked about various topics and then i asked her about how long man has lived on the earth she said according to reliable history she said about 6000 years which begining with adam and eve, but what i have learned through external research that reliable history dates man back to millions of years she then said you shouldnt trust dating methods huh so i said the watchtower is keen to use history to show favour to the bible but then dismisses it when it opposes it, so she said they cant prove it so then i said she cant prove her theories she said i can its from bible "huh is she real" she said you must have faith in the bible.but anyway thats jws for u.
1 more thing i was told there has been other civilisations previous to adam and eve does anyone know more about this
i've finally gotten up the nerve to make a clean break.
this saturday at 3:00, i'm having lunch with an elder.
