together although he knew long before i did.

I'm glad you finally posted and told us a little bit about yourself. Your story also gives many of us hope...those of us with relatives who have been "in" as long as you have.
Excellent advice about making new friends...you can do it after you leave too, and we have found meeting or having more personal correspondence with people from this board to be an excellent way to make new friends. So pick someone whose posting style you like and send them an email!

now that dad has recovered his equilibrium, i just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone who expressed concern about my daughter the last couple of weeks.
in the great scheme of things this is a minor matter but it sure affected me!
i guess my family has been pretty lucky compared to others.. anyway, julie (that's the daughter one, not the wifely one) recovered so fast that she returned to school this past monday.
Give your daughter a very gentle hug for all of us...and give your wife a great big bear hug from us. We are all relieved and happy for you.

firstly, before i say why i'm doomed to be sad, i'd like to give you the good news : i've got the all clear which means that my malignant melanoma skin cancer is all gone!
the surgery worked, so i dont need any more treatment!

Remember what it's like to think like a dub. Your mother has to believe that there is no way you can be happy ouside the organization, otherwise too many other things would not make sense to her and the cognitive dissonance would be painful.

I have not experienced a suicide of a loved one Beck, but I wanted to add my condolences. What a tragic loss. Why does it seem that people who are more talented in the areas of art and music are more prone to depression and all that goes with it? It must have something to do with brain chemicals.

early tomorrow morning we travel up to london heathrow for the alitalia flight to naples, italy.
