no matter what age you are (in my case fairly young), you've seen gilligan's island, and heard the inevitable argument (especially amoung men), who do you prefer better: ginger or mary anne.. well, i decided to bring the debate here to jw.com, see if there's an (ex) jw consensus on the issue.. my personal favourite is mary anne, by the way.
they were both very attractive, but mary anne's personalty was more down to earth (or naive) to me, and i find that more desirable.

Come to think of it, Harmony, Bitter Mango, Riz, Outnfree and Ginny Tosken would probably be a lot of fun too. We can't take Mommy because she will keep trying to tell us what to do and we can't take Tina cuz too many blondes makes for too much competition

a few months ago, 'somebody' - or 'chag' to h20'-ers, and i, had some dialogue about smiley music.. 'smiley' music is music that brings a great big smile to your face, when you hum or whistle along to it, you just can't help a big grin spreading from ear to ear.
it has to be good enough for you to say "wow, that is good", it has to be good enough for someone to take the trouble to wait for the download via audiogalaxy before they have even heard it.. so, what music / song can you recommend to others like me?
bear in mind, please, that i shall post my opinions very, very honestly, especially if it takes forever to download!.

I have no idea why this is so, but Jackson Brown's song Oh, Won't You Stay (not sure if that's the actual title but it's in the chorus) makes me smile and dance around the room every time I hear it. I used to use it as my "wake up" song in the morning. I need to start doing that again Thanks for reminding me.

there's this guy who i used to be friends with who thought that the only reason my kids loved me was because i rewarded them.
of course, i had to prove him wrong.
last friday i heard him talking to some people that he was going to break into my house and kill a few of my kids as well as trash the house.

poor old ray!.
you may recall me posting about ray's troubles with lucy, his jw wife.
lucy recently accused ray of feeding her poisoned sausages, with the result that ray was visited by the police.

I feel sorry for Ray...and I even feel sorry for sausage Lucy. She obviously has some mental condition that a dr/therapist could probably help her with. But, since she is now a good dub, she believes that she should "wait on Jehovah" to fix all her problems.
As for Ray, he simply has 2 choices.
1. Leave her now and possibly save himself police involvement/being arrested for attempting to murder his wife. If she did it once, she will quite likely do it again.
2. Stay with her on the condition that she seek professional help for her problem. She may get better..but she will still be a dub and not the same person he married. There is still the likelihood that he may have to leave her if she doesn't meet the condition, but he may feel he has to give her the opportunity. But he is taking an awful risk that his life may get very complicated...and he may be paying for the decision to stay for years to come.
I hope he chooses wisely, and please convey to him our best wishes.

please, anyone broken their children's heart over the wtbts?
i've been away from meetings for quite a wwhile now and have finally had to face the fact that i am responsible for my childrens 'lost' looks lately.
i've tried to sow a few little gentle doubts to ease them into the thought that were not going to meetings as 'the org may have got some things muddled up'.but its so strange to find yourself in this position; the worst is seeing their little faces as you struggle to find the right words that won't upset them.
