Kingdom Hall Dedication this Saturday
by punkofnice inby invite only!.
my jw spy tells me that this is in st paul's road, peterborough.. as far as i can tell, he tells me some corporation bully boy is coming over from bethel.
so, the local jws have been tasked to clean it so it's fit for this visiting dignitary.. of course there are only a certain amount of invites available and nepotism rules.

Since when have the KH dedications been by invitation only? I thought that this was a "congregation celebration" of sorts...? I mean, they'll all be using the hall, so why can't they all attend? What kind of cigar club bs is this crap?!
As for the building used...when was buying an old church building from the Beast ok? ESPECIALLY for a KH. I wonder if there will be conspiracy theories about demons still being in the building or something. haha

It's completely different from JWR. That was the most commonly used format, and the oldest and easiest to use, too. Not much for attractiveness, but that wasn't the goal when it was created.
So far, I think I've got the hang of this place. The top menu bar is where you get around. Or, you can go to "Home" or "Topics". If you go "Home", you'll be taken back to the main forum categories. Topics are the subforum categories. Quoting...that was kind of difficult. What I do (haha like I have soooo much experience) is I copy/paste the OP's statement, type my response, then highlight their statement and press the quote button.
Hope that helps! Glad to see another familiar name. :)

Intro
by Exjwme inyou can all call me jess, i guess you can say i'm a "refugee" from jwr.
i'm going to try and keep this short for now, i'm in my early 20s, i was born in but never baptized, i've been mentally out for 7 years and fully out for about 5ish.
despite never having been baptized my fading took quite a bit of time and work.

Crushed and devastated as well. Hopefully we can have a day or two to capture some posts/contact information. Hopefully that would be enough time to PM each other with another way to stay in contact with such critical friends we have made over our recovery time. XxBe Free
Awwwe Jane! BeFree! You guys. </3 I'll miss our little place. I feel like how all the Scene kids felt last week in Atlanta when the Masquerade was tore down... :(

I'm sorry but I need to ask: do you really have 2 red-headed steps?
Yup. Actually, my step daughter turned 6 today!
So how's the bf diabetes thing? Hope all is well with you!
He's better. We actually have had a rough time lately. We faced a split, and treated each other badly. Tit for tat type of thing, but still not right. PM me if you want details.
LOL at "cult updates and friendly conversation". I smell a tag line in the making.
FYI, I'm hilarious.
Politeness is overrated.
Ya damn right. But, I'm new here. I'll ease y'all into my southern-talk and cuss word usin' ways. :p
I have a JehovahMom too! How many of those did they make?
Oh geez. Apparently a few too many. ha.
Welcome...I remember you from JWR....pic of you with a guitar?
Yerp. That's me!

Just called into the Kingdom Hall, Speaker said he couldn't tell if anyone was listening to his talk... Well I was and what a joke
by Greybeard injust called into the kingdom hall, speaker said he couldn't tell if anyone was listening to his talk now that everyone uses electronic devices and nobody laughed... well i did!.
he also mentioned when everyone used the bible he could hear the pages flipping and he knew they were following along.
this was really funny to me.

"he could hear the pages flipping"
I smell apostates in the midst. Shouldn't these super dubs be looking up scriptures on their iPads? This should be a silent "flipping."It should be the sounds of fingers and nails tap-tap-tapping against iPad screen keyboards and the "bloop"-like water sounds from Samsung tablets cause no one ever bothers to turn the damn key sounds off.

I couldn't see the "Members Only" section on JWR, cause I was banned. lol. So what was going on in there? People stirring crap up? Too bad, too bad!
No, actually it was a personal matter that the other long term members gave me strength and advice to get through. Why do you have to take it there? The ones who liked to stir crap up unnecessarily were handled...sometimes by banning.

Well, I was in shock this morning after I took a couple weeks off from the site.
At least I can still drop in here and get updates. A lot has gone on the past few weeks (JWR Members Only readers know), and I needed to gather myself. JWR gave me the information and fire power against my JehovahMom on current topics, and it was a safe place I could vent when I had no where else to go. I hope I can at least find that type of information and safe haven here...maybe?
I'll miss JWR and the amazing conversations and wealth of knowledge its members shared. But, most of all, I'll miss the people and their awesome personalities. I've deactivated fb for a while, so I'll come here every once in a while and check up on things.
xo to you all.
