I think anyone reading Rev 20 would have second thought about their "calling"; You have to be killed by the axe, guillotine, or may be knife by ISIS, to be eligible. jws don't read their bibles enough. but you have a good point at least there is gender neutrality though among the anointed claimants., and at least the Vatican has a court and devils' advocate in their saint choosing.

Appointments Of Elders / Ministerial Servants Etc. In Contrast With Those Claiming To Be Of The Anointed .
by smiddy inaccording to jw beliefs the anointed / 144000 are going to rule with jc for a thousand years .as kings rev:20;4 .
i think they , the anointed , would be more important in the scheme of things than an elder or a ministerial servant in any congregation.. yet for the most part , they have no say or any position in any of the congregations in the world , and certainly not if they are female , however heaven accepts female anointed ones.. yet here on earth ,along with there service , elders and ministerial servants , with the holy spirits blessing , are appointed to there position in the congregation.. apparently there is no such scrutiny , guidelines or procedures in place , no holy spirit , or performance of service to determine who is an anointed person , so that any tom dick or harry ,mary jane or joan can claim to be an anointed person and it is accepted by the watchtower organization .. .
can you imagine every male claiming to be an elder in a congregation if you use the same guideline/ leeway that is given to the anointed ?.

a different "oops" in par. 8, reflecting on marvels of creation, I looked at the opening picture, the sky scene, and thought, "is that not the Plow (UK) or Big Dipper (US) east of the moon? (the moon would be in the North West.), since the man is looking north? I have never seen this configuration. is this a sublime message: we are way off on all of this? because this picture is imho

BSW I meant a minority 71 999 partakers*, assuming there is a "pure" wt 144k. * there might be at least that many closet, private, uncounted partaker.

M210: deliberately vague in print? i think every word is very carefully chosen, even in committee-style reviews, to have the subtle effect that Slimboy proposed. wt seems to resigned to ever increasing partaker counts, but are trying to diffuse the issue. has it not occurred to them that all should be partake? -

I just received the 1-15-2016 wt today, a gift from an ardent student. glancing through it, The reference to increasing the requirements as Slimboy suggested, must be very subtle, because the emphasis is still on a mysterious "anointing process" ( new word, par.8) there still seem to be a disconnect between works and anointing, although current GB members are ex cos, not all "anointed" are. Even a miracle for or by you would not count as a sign of being a "wt saint". (par 15) There will be many juicy comments here on these two articles. Tidbits I gathered?:
1) page 22 par 1 : the anointed only are still the "spiritual Israel" wheres "john" wrote they come out of the 12 tribes.
2.) par 17: "--the majority of the anointed have already died --[and been resurrected?]" that means we still could have 72001 genuine partakers , and many more counted, before 2075, by current trends. Can you imagine more than 144 000 partakers?
3) par. 14 "-- [anointed} have not lost interest in life, wanting it to end quickly--" no, hence the overlapping generation taking us to 2075.
4) page 26 par 15 :" it seems that all in the first-century Congregation were anointed--", well, it seems only? of course all the billions of partakers that were fooled by BTG, would end up on earth surely there had to be 12 non -anointed tribes for the partakers to come out of.
The anointing process is still hidden, personal and mind changing, a process akin to Eve listening to the talking snake.

Alanv: Interestingly, the increase in Europe is now around 0.2% which is very similar to the population increase of Europe. But that is changing Germany, Sweden had an 1% increase this year, and very few of the additions will become a jw and live. -

the assertion has been made that these rules are a "relaxing" of previous restrictions.
the suggestion has been made that this somehow indicates a corresponding relaxing or loosening or lessening of the authority which the governing body (gb) holds over the rank and file (r&f) members of the religion.

in establishing the length of the seven times of the gentiles, a time or year of 360 days is used, to give 2,520 days, which become 2,520 years when ezekiel 4:6 is applied.

There are "Human" years, "Dog" years, "Solar" years and Watchtower "Lunar-Solar" years.Wasanelder once upon a time , not to forget that as seen from the Pleiades, Russel's, heaven, a year has one more day, 266, then when counted by us. So, from "god's" viewpoint, the wt calculation is 7 years off, and that does not consider the 0 year missing, considered by wt a divine favour, that cinched the prophetic fit.
