The "spirit-directed organisation" is thrown in to comply with "jesus' " instruction that the Father, Son and Spirit have to be mouthed. In addition, the candidate recognises the organisation to deal with him/her as it pleases. The candidates feels to, that big brother and his father are watching every one of their moves and the spirit will alert the Elders' org to swoop down.

The successful ones, multi millionaire real estate tycoons, (not difficult these days, a few rental houses will do it.) are kind of hypocritical. giving or endorsing these talks on pioneering out of high school, simplifying (y) our life, really your life. so there are the idealists, but also the power hungry* and the hypocrites; all sincere in their endeavours. * even if you have some power, it is never enough. -

Blondie; According to the January 1st, 1987 Watchtower on page 30, Jehovah's Witnesses maintain that each Creative Day was 7,000 years long, totalling 49,000 years. thank you, trust researcher.
The flaw with the wt calculation is, that on the cosmic scale the seventh day has barely started, not finished, so you have to divide or multiply by 6, not seven imho. It was not that long ago that evolution stopped and the snakes shut up for good.

BB: How gracious of wt to allow scientists to do such research and the the straw man: longer than 24 hours. wt never taught that, they taught 7000 years, whereas it is theoretically ~120 000 times longer than their old teaching.
4.8 billion : 6 days. = .8 .--The 7th day will be 800 million years long. start overlapping now.

The list is good food for thought, thanks. The lack of growth is because fewer are staying, and fewer are motivated to join. An added reason is that the power structure of the wt can become abusive, and oppressive, The meetings are boring, people like to learn, improve, and wt has shut that down. people like to socialize , like in the formalized "book study" get togethers, wt cancelled that. Recruits will not stay unless motivated by these things, and the first visits to the hall will turn them off. -

somehow the idea of 6 creative days of 6000=42 000 + 7000 of a rest, Sabbath day appealed to the numerology minded wt writers, it fitted with the OT Jubilee cycle of - 49 +1 year. Subdividing the the last 7 millennia further into an 6 work +1 day of rest and judgement by "jesus". This fitted the overall pattern, and the 1 day= 1000 year rule. It allowed too to re-inforce the idea that after the end of the 1000 year kingdom would follow another millenium "day" to complete the type of the 50 year jubilee cycle. since seven is a spiritually perfect number, it makes perfect sense. of course Satan the talking snake has to raise it's ugly head in the 50th day again, so, no peace for the wicked. time out.
P.S. wt: the creative process of the earth, including the "new creation" is EONS long.

Appointments Of Elders / Ministerial Servants Etc. In Contrast With Those Claiming To Be Of The Anointed .

i think they , the anointed , would be more important in the scheme of things than an elder or a ministerial servant in any congregation.. yet for the most part , they have no say or any position in any of the congregations in the world , and certainly not if they are female , however heaven accepts female anointed ones.. yet here on earth ,along with there service , elders and ministerial servants , with the holy spirits blessing , are appointed to there position in the congregation.. apparently there is no such scrutiny , guidelines or procedures in place , no holy spirit , or performance of service to determine who is an anointed person , so that any tom dick or harry ,mary jane or joan can claim to be an anointed person and it is accepted by the watchtower organization .. .
can you imagine every male claiming to be an elder in a congregation if you use the same guideline/ leeway that is given to the anointed ?.

I think anyone reading Rev 20 would have second thought about their "calling"; You have to be killed by the axe, guillotine, or may be knife by ISIS, to be eligible. jws don't read their bibles enough. but you have a good point at least there is gender neutrality though among the anointed claimants., and at least the Vatican has a court and devils' advocate in their saint choosing. -

a different "oops" in par. 8, reflecting on marvels of creation, I looked at the opening picture, the sky scene, and thought, "is that not the Plow (UK) or Big Dipper (US) east of the moon? (the moon would be in the North West.), since the man is looking north? I have never seen this configuration. is this a sublime message: we are way off on all of this? because this picture is imho
boring has it's benefits.
