Is the Watchtower organisation facing the biggest crisis of its history?
by slimboyfat inrecent developments make me think they might be.
the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.
one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.

Originally the media refused to report the crime yeah it was like back to the WW2 days in Germany, when you had to listen to BBC to know what really went on and risk prison. As a boy I was used as a courier to deliver hand-built superhet radios that brought in BBC unlike the Volksempfaenger. They were traded for hams, hence the title Ham radios-not. Shame on the lot to sacrifice their young ladies to these invaders. If they are ever caught, and in court, Merkel should be indicted as a co-defendant. The callous disregard of the politicians for their own population and the media cover-up is stunning, even then it is not a question of punishment, but merely deportation, or beherps withholding of their welfare income? deportation to come across the border again?
sacrifice their young ladies, like biblical Lot's false sense of hospitality. is this what orientals expect of their hosts?

TL: That's if if if they haven't already mortgaged those buildings in Brooklyn which means selling them only clears their debts and doesn't make them any real money. May be they mortgaged them in 1975 like many "friends".? -

Do JW's still go door-to-door?
by Dark Knight inwith the rise of the new literature cart method of preaching, i'm curious as to how the traditional jw preaching work is organized.
the other reason i ask this is that i hardly see jw's door-knocking anymore.are they still going door-to-door and tracking how regularly their territory is covered?
are they still using territory maps and keeping track of do-not-calls, ethnic/deaf houses etc?i'm also curious as to how the literature cart ministry is organized.

The new fangled clam meetings are even more " service orientated, " true worship is hard work" and boring training sessions, that pass for worship. gives you clammy hands and foot so[u]les just thinking about it -

" none of us has died yet "
by prologos inthis phrase made me perk up my ear for a moment during this week's video demonstration.
this "follow-up remark was to the "householder's" affirmation that we do not know what happens at death.
religions use scare tactics to keep members captive, so is this a hook wt introduces early?

the tone was, well,-- have not died yet,-- but will--, in the meantime while you are dead bsw, you will know nothing. and according the splane- franz projections, it willbe 2075 before the overlap ends and the" no dying" starts. -

What would you like to see the Watchtower Society implement that would give you a dignified way to leave/stop being a Jehovah's Witness?
by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah's witnesses do not provide a dignified resignation process for members who wish to resign/quit being a jehovah's witnesses.you are not given any good choices.
you can either: disassociate yourself, fade, become inactive or move to another city/state/country where you won't be bothered or found out.. if you quit your job/employment, stop attending a book club or bowling league,or quit a lawn service company, newspaper delivery service, you wouldn't see your employer or friends sending out a written notice to anyone to stop all association with you or have little contact.you would sue them for slander.you have a right to quit any association or contract (when it expires or doesn't meet the terms any longer) whenever you wish.. what would you like to see the watchtower society implement that would give you a dignified way to leave/stop being a jehovah's witness?.

imitate the exit procedure of Jesus in his home synagogue : schedule meeting time for you to read bible texts of your choice, make choice comments, and then say: " today these texts are fulfilled, fully explained" and leave, but avoid the execution, disfellowshipping. -

HAT WAS SO STUPID! it sounds that way, but, wt teaches that there is no knowledge after death, yet their smart alecky statement implies that after death "we" would know, find out. So they are preparing for confusion later about the ever changing doctrines. reminds me of the sign I saw in FL. " Is there life after death?-- try to rob this place and find out!"
