The Final Solution.. to the Anointed question.

this cult who thought at some point that all of them were going to go to heaven realized that their numbers were growing therefore they had to create another group to explain the delay on their own rapture and their predicted end of the world.

they then created a separation of categories... the originals, the old ones, in other words the anointed, a selected groups that you cant be part of because only 144,000 are selected, so they had to come up with all sort of excuses why the end was not coming.

so many explanations to jesus words.. they were buying time, the end had to come at any moment, 1941... 1975... before the end of the century.... but at the last moment this cultish doctrine back fired on them... the number of the originals kept growing... these "divinely" (self) appointed group who wrote countless letter of bible interpretation to gods headquarters kept increasing.

cyberJ: great treatment, but at the root of every contorted story such as the "annointed" is the first flawed step. not reading the bible right.

1) only anointed should eat and drink emblems: wrong!!! the apostles when served w&B by Jesus were believeres in an earthly hope: read all the context.

2) Since all Christians should partake, are commanded to partake, to tell anyone not to partake contradicts Jesus as quoted in John chapter 6.

3) the count of partakers is only a measure of adherence to wrong premises and clearly has nothing to do with who will rule the universe.

4) the counters and counted do not even recognize the 12 tribes, the true Israelites mentioned in Rev.7.

the final solution will be dissolution end of the illusion. blessings.

i don't beleive in him, at least not like most christians do.

as some have described before the "sky daddy" version of god has not been able to be rationalized by cagefighter's brain for some time.. does this mean i don't believe in a divine power/entity?

does this mean i do not consider my self a christian?

each person on earth get 10 minutes of witnessing time a year. each one of the 7 billion on average. there is something wrong and too corporate about the idea and the method. one story (perhaps fictional) from a pioneer home on an essential highway: the co passing through on a snowy morning found l special p writing a letter, and the others (the normal car group) in bed keeping warm and counting time' as they would have had they been "out in "the field". that's why some say: "count me out" contributed.

the jw.org video about the annual meeting contains david splane saying "we just love this idea", when talking about the adjusted fds doctrine.

"we just love this idea"????

when it becomes one of the fundament teachings of the organisational part of a religion, the rank-and-file witnesses are expected to be convinced about these kind of doctrines.

nostromo: right. what they call the OTHER sheep (never the anointed sheep) are really the 12 tribes of spiritual Israel of Rev7. Even Jesus recognized the lofty title/name of a true israelite. Gods word really dignifies us non-144 000ers with that name. of course you might be sealed to go where Jesus went and not know it because the sealing angels are not telling. and all of us have to take the bread and wine like the israelites to have everlasting life and be resurrected on the last day. Are They Cynically Shutting Down The Organization?

i've raised this idea before but recent events seem to support it.

changes in the watchtower may be guided by more than a need for cash flow: they may simply be liquidating/shutting it down as discreetly as possible.. of course, this doesn't mean they stop working on their upstate ny country club - but it could mean that the throrough going exposure and disproof of their beliefs on the internet, when it emerged, took many of them by surprize, as it did many of us!

after awhile, they generally gave up trying to make any sense of their doctrines - and coupled with cash flow issues - moved towards a quiet retreat.. take a look at a few things:.

yesterday in the public talk the impressive speaker used the illustration of people leaven the org with someone jumping from a 40 storey building an reaching the 3rd floor realizing her mistake. should have talked to him. later aplied that parable: the hapless jumpers at the wtc had to let go because of the heat. they did not know that the whole impressive thing was going to collapse! I know they never felt a thing. Here is the real conclusion from that ill-thought out metaphor: If you work inan impressive edifice and there is a rumbling , get out as quick as possible, for if you gey caught, have to jump or get crushed in the collapse, it is going to be a bad day. for reasons that are unimportant here, municipalties and other souveraign entities go bankrupt, touching the financial siruations of those beholen to them as muniscipal taxpayers with properties than can be morgaged after a bancruptcy judgement.

you legal minds in different jurisdiction: can the fact that one is a cardcarrying jw in a congregation( actually they are holding all the cards) pun intendet] ever be construed to mean that you are liable for any financial liability of the congregation, its elders, the wtbs.inc?

in our affluent area very ambitious 100% approved by vote are under way, selling off one good kingdom hall to build better later, with funding yet to come.

wonderful perspective!! - one observation: "The old testament life of rape" and pillage was not in the hebrew scheme of things. The Law forbade israels soldiers on active duty to have ANY sexual relations. remember david's failed attempt to have uzzia sleep at home with his wife while on furlough? So this wise Law supports your point of the scriptures in some cases beeing a good influence. If you ever became witness to mass rapes of an rampaging army, you will really appreciate that law. Rape was a capital offence and is still in at least one majority "christian" country.

If a scripture can be shown that Jehovah God "changes" his mind then are we to believe anything he says in the bible?

i have always been taught that jehovah god never changes his mind and he always carries out what he predicts.

then a friend of mine who is atheist showed me a scripture in the bible that caught me totally off guard.

it is in the book of jeremiah.

Does the meaning of "Jehovah" not imply change? He becomes who He chooses to become?. The idea that Jehovah does not change does not mean that he can not react to changing situations. Free will implies that we can change our minds and take new directions. . My picture of Jehovah existing in time as gleaned from the scriptures is scetched at beabeorean.com.

I picture jehovah existing unmoving in time eternally past and future, we are MOVING into our future. Jehovah is already there! waiting for us, so to speak. The events in our travel into the future time are not totally determined, and Jehovah will react appropriately as our future unfolds. While certain outcomes are inevitable and predictable by him, I believe we have genuine choices of conduct within the laws of nature that we are subject to. He likes to see how we react to the exposing of myth and all now available. Can we not have great confidence in a capable creator and the resilience of his creation (life after dinosaurs)?

all i wanted to do was to point out that wt mag., sorry I can't scan any picture. There is a face appearing as the obelisk falls. " Demon" idea is not mine, its expressed by Paul 1Cor. 10:20 (if it means anything to you) it did mean something to ex jws, the essence of this site?
