i don't know whether it's dub-speak, or us-speak.. it's the use of the word 'ones' as in 'interested ones', 'worldly ones', 'disfellowshipped ones' and so on and so on.. in the 'normal world' we would probably use the word 'people'.. thoughts?.

It appears to be the ultimate black and white term to classify a person, it strips her/him of any other attribute but that one, unique characteristic desired to be highlighted by the speaker/writer. -

You should not even exist!
by stuckinarut2 ina thought struck me...... the very generation (no pun intended) of people who the society is focussing so much attention on, that is the children, should not even be here!
(think caleb and sofia etc).
their parents, who are probably aged between 20 - 40 are the very generation too that should not be here if the societies strict guidance from the 70's and 80's was followed by their parents...ie to not have kids "because the end is soooooo close!".

It shows the selfishness of all believers in an earthly paradise, for the limited resources precludes unlimited opportunities for future generations, particularly if Billions are to be resurrected too. Conversely one can see the generosity of a possible creator to open life for so many (rather than few) interesting lives during the 9 billion years of possible inhabitable period of this planet.PS
wt teachings not only prevented the birth of new loved ones, but condemns (falsely) billions to an early death too.

saw a billboard on a church some time ago: : Prayer is not to bend god's will to yours, but to bend your will to god's. In my mind, read what nature tells you, and adjust your thinking, actions to reality. Prayer over food??? yes! the cook for preparing it, so well, and without the creative event, nothing would be here, food for thought. -

Happy Pi Day
by dothemath intomorrow is march 14 (3.14), so its known as pi day, to honour the all-important constant.. incidentally, the bible has been criticized by mathematicians because the scriptures give a very poor value of pi.. the scripture is based on 1kings 7: 23 and reads as follows:.
"and he proceeded to make the molten sea ten cubits from its one brim to its other brim, circular all around; and its height was five cubits, and it took a line of thirty cubits to circle all around it".
now that shape is actually mathematically impossible to construct, because if the diameter is 10 cubits, the circumference would have to be 31.4159 cubits.

I am surprised that a figure like M. Laliberte' or J.G. Trembley had to do anything to live normal lives after their exodus. that nulligies the stories about the green handshakes. Americans have to scuttle their bizarre many payers (executives) defunct healthcare system in favor of free healing for all, perhaps reigning in the rich, free uni for the deserving only, but also introduce a simple sales tax . , imho
