Honest Questions About Child Abuse

i have two honest questions for everyone here.

i understand that most here want retribution from the courts against watchtower for child abuse allegations.

but let us take away the instances where someone was accused of child abuse and then later put back into a position of authority, such as an elder or an ms. let us just take the cases where a regular publisher or even an appointed person, with no previous accusation of child abuse has come up against that person.

sparrowdown: I second opinions already expressed above, They might want to check recommendations that came in from the CO of new elder, MS appointments against that list in the branches. The problem with publishing is, that the list might contain false accusations, also, are theses offenders grades from voyeuism "from a distance" to violent child rape, from toddler victim to 17 year 11 month olds? homo and hetero? true or false, accused or convicted? possible libel suits against wt?

Wt has still 2 groups* of people who are their strong base , and there are equivalents that probably can be seen in the Roman empire :

1) the true believers, that rely on the divine for a crutch, or two, to lean on, who would be devoted supporters in any religion, the widow that gets a loan to contribute, would disown her children, but could not care less about, even understand, the changing doctrines , and

2) the power hungry, who see in the wt, with members sworn to submissiveness (or forced into it by shunning), a ready made field to fulfill that dream/drive. As an added incentive there is provided for their ilk a pool of divinely supervised, gullible, disenfranchised followers to be used as employees and as a clientbase. These "leaders" would, because of that mindset, support wt through any doctrine or procedure change to retain that power.

*not the two age groups of anointed that can stretch to 2075 and beyond. ha.

This might actually deter some victims from reporting to police ( apart from Org shaming), because:

In the ensuing criminal processes, victims have been put through H-- by the defense lawyers, better to a keep quiet for many reasons, one more wt tactic to intimidate victims that's all.

"New Light" and the Watchtower's quasi legal disclaimer

found this interesting quasi legal religious statement at the bottom of this 》》》 jw.org page advertising "bible-based books and magazines":.

some updates made to digital publications may not yet appear in the printed edition.. glad to know that jehovah and the governing body have seen fit to inform the entire world that certain doctrinal teachings of "truth" may differ between digital and print edition of the watchtower magazine and bible-based books.

doesn't say much for the credibility of the guardians of doctrine.. confusingly, some of the doctrinal teachings, particularly in the online versions of bible-based books and magazines from the watchtower, have already undergone updates but these updates only appear in the new digital version of the new printed edition.. good thing we have a digital-only version of the "research guide for jehovah's witnesses" which is updated every year to contain all the references to the new teachings and interpretations of the bible.

very pertinent question, if the elders take nit picking doctrinal apostasy questions seriously. Of course it really does not matter.

In the 70s there was the case in the foreign language field, when certain refinements to the "marriage bed"/porneia issue were printed, but did not become translated until weeks later. The wt mag was studies in that language, but the english wt at that point already had flipped back to the more tolerant, " yes, it is bad, but only outside marriage " kind of understanding, so, the anxious young couples had to be reassured, no, this it is already old light, (although to you it was new light today) so, turn off the light, shut the door and don't worry about this sunday's wt study.

nowhat?--answer: who else would be? obviously he is watching watchtower, keeping it going to see what "heavier judgement" he is going met out, including to you.

James 3:1,subtly remind them they are the ones that are in trouble, setting up their judgement, that starts with the "house of god"

I agree with blondie question, , suppress the wt lyrics, I am a melody man, and " We thank you --" stood out as a melody, on par with God save the Queen, Deutschland , and the Russian national Anthem. How about "power divine"? used to hum it in the service when alone. current , no-service humming list : 111,134,106 ,104,82, most the new ones? , the product of an overlapping twisted mind.

smiddy, yes you are. one reason the multiverse idea is so appealing to some is, because it is a way to allow for life supposedly to have appeared by chance alone. so these faces you see are an illusion, each bubble is unique like you.

The multiverse hypothesis, just kicks the ball down the road, because did it make itself?and:

The laws in our own universe worked perfectly enough to have us appear. uniquely.

Noah a Preacher of Righteousness?

during the watchtower study today, i browsed genesis and looked for evidence of noah ever preaching to anyone.

from what i could glean from the scriptures, it was a foregone conclusion that noah's family would be it on the ark.

(unless they towed some rafts behind) my wife says that building the ark could be considered a witness of his faith to the wicked world, but that seems kind of lame to me.. so, should i just assume that god decided not to give anyone else a chance for redemption?

wt always made a difference between preaching (warning) and disciple-making work, aka bible study. Noah was not trying to make disciples. at best perhaps trying to recruit people to help him, that, with a false hope of salvation through works. That what wt does. free labor for the non-existing hope of salvation.

Noah and Jesus were wood workers, If you have ever worked manually with wood, even when not using dull bronze age handtools, all day long, day in and day out, you will do little else. (Jesus quit it to do the preaching)

The preaching is more believable than the joinery to lift elephants above everest.
