O.K. Beloved. Let's face it. You cannot change your parents, and they are not going to change their thoughts unless their society tells them to do.
If your brother is more supportive, stay there and go to college. Try to get a good career. Keep in touch with your girlfriend, but you really need to think about your future.
I don't know how your parents are. But my mom was very much shunning and hostile toward me when I DA'd. But now she is very nice. Maybe your parents will change or will not. I don't know. One thing for sure, don't try to hang onto them too long. It's time for Plan B.
This board will give you excellent advices. Put up a post whenever you have a question.

Mama's Memorial
by Sentinel inmost here remember that my mother died after her heart surgery on june 17th.
she has four grown children, and we are very close now as always and feeling like we are now "orphans", without both our parents in this physical life.
the kh in bradenton gave her a memorial on monday evening, july 5th.

Oh, Karen, I am so sorry about your mom. My mom is also a jw. So I can relate to some of the feelings you mentioned above. It seems like she was a wonderful person. I'm sure she loved you very much, and you loved her as much. I love my mom, too. Still I feel scared and nervous around her because of the experieces I had when I DA'd. But I love my mom.
It looks like at least you mom had a better memorial than some of jws that I knew. All the memorials I attended were like Sunday public talks. They were like the deceased were forgotten already. But your mom's sounds like it was very personal. That was nice.
I hope your days get better and better.
Shedding some sunshine to you!

Ramble Here, Just off Load Thoughts, Talk Bollocks:
by Celtic insometimes it be good to write just completely unjudgementally.
feel free to do this here, on this thread, talk bollocks, talk bullshit, take nothing seriously, have fun with what and who you are, frollick with words and make them dance if need be.. any commonsense thread is immediately disallowed.
simply write fun and let words tumble forth, cascade upon your typing fingers.. this is your space and no one will judge you at all for what you write.. if someone is dumb enough to ask anything not pertaining to enjoyable daftness, celtic will rampantly inspire in his mind, complete junkish compliments to ranckle your mind, until you write absurdity.. there be fun out there, who first?

sigh....Ugh, I or rather the baby inside of me feels so heavy that he is going to come out any minute. But he still has to stay in there for another 2 months. I'm breathless and feeling sick a little. I'm also really tired. I've been posting in this board for a couple of years and still a master member. When am I going to be a Jedi? Some times I just don't have time to post. And some times I don't see any thread that I want to post.

Would You Go Back To A Kingdom Hall For A Funeral or Wedding?
by minimus inlet's say one of your relatives either died or invited you to a wedding at a hall, would you go?
-

The only time I would have to go to the kh will be for my mom's funeral. If she dies, I'm sure she would have wanted her funeral at a kh, which I will respect. I doubt I would be invited for anything else.

If you have a kid, stay away from Canada.
I was thinking the same thing, bebu. I think Canada is the paradise for molesters/abusers.

POLL----Will The Witness Religion Ever Cease To Exist?
by minimus ini think jws will be around forever.
i do believe they will, as time goes on, lose many or most of their members.
but i do think that there will always be some around to continue the religion....maybe years from now they'll become more mainstream, i don't know.

By the way I was going to post this thread. You've stolen my idea, celtic.
