  my girlfriend had sent her a pretty harsh letter criticizing my family sharing her opinion about the religion about 2 weeks ago and she had never gotten a response (which kind of surprised me, actually.

  Well, doogie, are you DF'd for fornication, murder or anything bad? If you are not, she can't really shun you. According to the WTS's official website, they don't shun the people who "simply left" the organization. Maybe you should point it out to your mom.

  After the Dateline sensation, our congregation had the District Convention.

  The Chairman said about the child abuse cases. He said that the apostates are telling only half truth. But I wanted the whole truth. "What is the other half truth?", I asked the elders.

  You know what? ????, there was no "the other half truth". They told me that they can help me understand their policy. Can you imagine? They said that they could help me understand why they keep the molesters in the congregation secretly, and I was supposed to go along with it.

  At the convention when the Chairman said, "Don't tell anyone, and don't even talk about it. If your conscience bothers you, then there is something wrong with your conscience," I knew I couldn't be a jw any more. I didn't want to be guilty by sympathetic to pro-molesters.

  ????, first of all, WELCOME TO OUR FORUM!!!!

  I taked to the elders, and watched both Dateline and Panorama. The first elder denied everything what those shows featured. Then later he said that he didn't know "the policy" well because he had never dealt with it before. Basicaly he acknowledged that there are brothers who have found guilty of child molestation within the organization. Some of them are also still serving as MSs or elders, and "are still going door to door". Even the Watchtower Society Letter acknowledges this as a fact. Another interesting fact is that if one of those guilty brothers move in to your congregation, the elders will keep quiet about his case. Therefore, you are not going to know unless your child get molested by him. You will be going door to door with him, sit with him with your children, and have gatherings with him with your children. But you are not going to know if he was a guilty child molester. So my questions are:

  IF THE VICTIMS WERE NOT TOLD NOT TO GO TO THE POLICE, WHY DO THEY STILL HAVE THOSE PEDOPHILES IN THE ORGANIZATION SERVING EVEN MS OR ELDERS?

  IF THE ORGANIZATION IS PROTECTING THE CHILDREN, WHY DO THEY HUSH ABOUT THE MOLESTERS AND WHY DO THEY KEEP AMONG THEM?

  "Leave it to Jehovah", they say. Would you leave it to Jehovah if your child or your wife got raped by a witness who denies wrong doing? When your baby is crying for help, can you say to him, "Child, you don't have 2 witnesses. So you just have to leave it to Jehovah"?

  Latest "Hope" Is That I'll Come Back After My Daughter's Wedding

  my mother told me yesterday that the latest talk that's buzzing around is that after the wedding of my daughter (who is marrying an "unbeliever" aka normal person), my wife and i will come back.

  my mom's friend said that the presiding overseer even told her that there's one thing he just can't understand----why i left.

  he assumes that i feel badly that my daughter's getting married to a "worldly" aka normal person.

  this was mentioned at the service meeting.. but, it should be worrying to the society, not as wonderful as it may sound.

  the number getting baptized each year is shrinking rapidly.. at one time, they boasted of baptizing 1000 dubs a day which equals to 365,000 dubs.

  this was back in 1997.. at the dc this year, it was 5,000 a week.

  What the heck is so important about numbers, unless you need them for the con' way!

  I bet they need to boost their moral constantly. Otherwise they will have massive inactivities.

  many millions who have lived in centuries past and who were not jehovah's witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life.

  many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before god's time of judgment, and they will gain salvation.

  Jws think that resurrection can happen to non-jws, but only jws will survive through Armaggedon. So there is a slight difference between "getting resurrected" and "getting saved".

  this last sunday a family party happened.

  i knew i was not invited but since my dad recently stopped going to meetings he was not invited.

  i submitted this same issue to silent lambs that this is another form of abuse.

  I am very sorry to hear that, mole.

  You've been shunned? Are you DF'd or DA'd now? Last time I read your post, you were still a jw but getting some suspicions from the elders.

  Anyway if they shun you, forget about them. There are more decent and truly loving people out there with true Christian heart. You'll be amazed. After hearing all those horrible stories about "the worldly people" from the jws, rediscovering my neighbors has been so refreshing.

  Please tell your dad that I said, "hi!". And keep your chins up, both of you. Start new lives.
