Oh, thanks so much for posting, everyone!
Nevigator, since you are from Fort Worth, Tx, have you been to one of the concerts of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition? I have video tapes of 1989, 1993, 1997 and a DVD of 2001.

how many stupid elders and co's have you known???
years ago, one co used to stop at music stores so that he could sit behind a piano and play beethoven.this was during field service!
i knew of a stupid elder that knew a father who had been an elder and was deleted for immorality with his daughters, and this stupid elder wanted to recommend him to be an elder again!!!
Regarding piano playing CO: Why do you think he is "stupid"? He probably LOVED music so much. Let's look at the bright side. ;-)
All the elders I've known were very close friends of mine. They were very nice, kind and caring. The two elders, who had the last meeting with me, had teary eyes and had hard time talking when they knew that I was going to DA. They were really nice.
The only problem was that they were only willing to have the WTS's perspective. ;-(
i'm just curious...i'm trying to get information about the bay area in california ...i've been planning on moving back there since janurary and was wondering if people can tell me about the job market there...i did go online and do a little research abotu the area...but it didn't erally help me much...i was wondering if i can get first hand type experience of what it's like up there....cost of apartment etc..job income...etc... anyone living in san fran.
or oakland?
berkeley?
FiveShadows,
Check out www.insidebayarea.com. I don't recomend SF because it is still too expensive; even the sales tax is higher than other county.
Hope you can find something you like.
any idea?
i would love to hear from especially you know and fred hall.
i mean only if fred hall thinks the wts needs reformation.

i don't have a clue how a computer works.
i just turn it on and point and click and i am able to do what i need to do, unless of course something goes wrong, or in the worst case scenario if my little machine experiences the dreaded blue-screen crash, then i am really in a mess.
that is the way the financial system is for most people.
To You Know:
Thanks for the links. I've been watching the stock market for myself, and I am amazed how low it has gotten now. It is scary. But it seems like more people are investing on realestate now. Maybe that's why the stock market is having a harder time. Price of house is still high. ( A 900sqf. house costs over $300,000.00 here in the Bay Area. Can you believe that?) I'm hoping the economy would get better soon.
You may be right about your thought on a biblical example and todays economy. Or maybe not. We'll see.
How do you think Jehovah would feel toward the WTS? Do you think I'm an apostate, too, because I'm posting negative remarks at this forum?
H.B.,
Your apology accepted. And I strongly recomend you to read "Crisis of Conscience". There is nothing to lose, is there? ;-)
i used to hate the kingdom melodies, but maybe i did like one or two i think one was called "apostates on the march" @ i feel so human
I liked No. 4 and No.10. They were some of the well-properly written songs in the song book.

i have a friend named uhhh... timmm, who is in a bit of a quandary.
he has decided to go public with his apostate leanings, because it is becoming too hard to play the role of a meek, spiritually weak witness--complete with looks of pity and concern from his mother and siblings, and contempt from his sister-in-law.
timmm is sure one brother will have nothing to do with him after this, and he can live with that.
Has Timmm mentioned about his thought to his family members? You know, just asking, "What would you do if I do this?" kind of thing. For me I told my mom about what I think and found about the WTS. So I knew in advance how she was going to react. But I have to say, for my case, at the end it wasn't as bad as I expected. I expected "shunning" from her, but she insisted having dinner with me every Saturdays. We still talk, and I feel closer to her and to other family members now.
But I don't know Timmm's family very well. However, I can tell that he is in a very difficult situation. ;-(
i was just sitting here at work fantasizing what i would do if i won the lottery.
first i would pay off all my bills, .
then i would donate to some very worthy causes...(i'm sure you can guess a couple of them).
It depends how much the jackpot is. But I would:
pay off my bills
make donations
buy a nice 3 or 4 bedroom house ( 1,500 - 2,000 sqf ) - now this alone is going to take more than $500,000.00. x-p
And if I still have a lot of money left, I would cut down my work load, and live on the interest.
Oh, I forgot about the tax. Of course IRS may have a big chunk of my money. Do I have a choice? x-p
