Formal Introductions
by Cardinal Fang ini've been lurking around this place for a good long while now, and i've even posted now and again under another handle, but i thought i'd start afresh and 'do it right' this time by making with the formal introductions.
i was going to post this in the friends forum, but i'm a little bit shy for that (it took me many months to make it as far as junior member - that's how shy i am, lol).. anyway, my story... i was born into the wt - my mother's been a baptised jw for over 30 years now, and my dad's been what i like to call a 'camp follower' for the same length of time - although the wt nearly did for me right at the start - there were complications prior to the birth which put mine and my mother's life in danger involving the blood issue (how an org which preaches against abortion and even the 'morning after pill' can effectively sanction the death of an unborn child and its mother for want of a transfusion is an outstanding piece of doublethink that never ceases to astonish me...).
my three older sibs (all wee ones when my mother was 'assimilated') went their way and did the 'sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll' thing for varying lengths of time (they're all now 'reassimilated'), while i remained the 'good boy' *slaps self round the head* .

Fake 'hovahs
by TR inother discussions about the cost of wt rags reminded me of something.. several years ago, late eighties, while i was out selling, er placing witchtower and afake!
rags door to door, i encountered a householder(i hate that frickin' word) that had an interesting observation.
she said, "oh, you people were just here, and i bought some magazines".

Yes, they were going through the business territory to collect "Christmas" contribution. Then, I really knew they were fake. x-p

Bleep, I have to agree with Willy_think, and also I noticed in your bio, "Those who try to find fault will find fault themselves everyday." Interesting! That's one of the things I wrote in my DA letter to the body of elders. It really bugs me whenever the WTS belittles or criticizes other groups or people for every little thing. Remember that children psychologist who changed his view point on how to raise chidlren? How many times has the WTS criticized that person for that? Sheesh! He did it once, but how many times the WTS has done that?????? Hmmmm?????? They even belittled other religious groups for bringing water and food to the Ground Zero right after Sep.11 when they brought watchtower mags and other publications. They said, "They ( the people who brought water and food ) should've known better."
Well, it seems like the WTS is a shining example on that, too.
But hey, kid, ( I think you are in your teens ) I think you are very insecure about yourself. I know that you are not going to listen to either me or any of people in this forum ( I wonder if you'd listen to You Know ). Why are you here? Go back to school and get some education.

I am very sorry to hear that, S.P. ;-( I really do hope you'd find your new life in the new place.
Do you have any relative whom you can talk to freely? He/she might be able to help by working as a bridge. I'll be praying for you.

Cassiline, thank you. Even though I now have a senior member status, I still get lost sometimes esp. on the terminology.
Farkel, what a work! I think I'm going to save it in my computer. Thank you.

But if Bill DAs himself, then they get to have another excuse that the Silentlamb is done by "non-JW".
It is your judgment call, Bill. If you DA yourself, they might leave you alone but I have to say that you might lose some credibility to the other JWs who do not aware of silentlamb at this time. If you stay as a JW until they DF you, then you get to make them look really bad, but you might suffer more harrassment ( either verbal or emotional ) from current JWs.
You mentioned that there are some current elders helping you out. If you DA yourself, do you think you can still get their assistance? Or are they going to go with a classic policy of the WTS, shunning?
