i'm worried sick at the thought that bill bowen is in danger, and sincerely hope those near him will provide his family with protection.

if the following article on h2o by an anonymous poster bears any truth, then i recommend to bill that he asks the local police for 24 hour home protection (i.e., squad car drive-bys and surveillance).. http://www.aimoo.com/forum/postview.cfm?id=311102&categoryid=2967&startcat=1&threadid=238963.

I'm sure Bill and his family have been threatened from the beginning. But I wonder if some people ( maybe from this board ) who live near by can keep their eyes on him and his family.

As someone mentioned before, this is Child Abuse section esp. for the Silent lambs and Bill Bowen.

If you have any personal issue to settle, why don't you take care of it through either emails or another fresh thread in Friends section?

Bill, thank you for your email. However, so far I haven't seen any response from my local news stations. I've been forwarding your emails, but so far nothing. I think we need a silent lamb who is in my area in order to get their attention. Besides I don't think today's press release is going to make any sense to those who have never heard of the Silent Lambs.

Just a thought.

"speaking at the meetings"....hmmm......I don't know whether she meant not talking to anyone or not making any comments.

At the meeting many times there are question and answer form of group lessons. A good example is the Sunday Watchtower study. If you have seen one of the watchtower magazines, you'd noticed that there are questions at the bottom of the page. The conductor asks questions and the audience ( anyone who are present at the meeting ) raise their hands if they want to make a comment or answer the questions.

Giving talks is different. For a brother it is preparing a short ( 5min.) sermon. For a sister it is more like a presentation: acting out a setting of ministry. For example she can dramatize a door to door ministry in front of the congregation. It is also limited to 5 mim. For both cases a certain theme or topic is given.

If your friend is doing none of these, then she is as good as being inactive. That is a notch better than disassociation/disfellowship in the jws' point of view. You said that she is also molested. Have you talked to Bill Bowen? Have you talked to an attorney or police? I don't think it is safe for her to stay at her parents' house. I hope it is not too late.

i thought i'd hit it several times before...as i have been thru the divorce over the past couple of years...lost all my so-called friends...lost my belief in what i thought was the "truth"....and now my own loving daughter, being the good little dub she is has told me she doesn't want me to walk her down the aisle at her wedding.

she told me today at lunch.

i almost threw up.

Are you happy about what Bonezz is going through? Bonezz is very much broken hearted and depressed. You probably read the list of medication that he has been taking. At times like this no matter what he did in the past, I think he deserves a warm and sincere words, don't you think so?

You Know, as a humble Christian, I think you should apologize to Bonezz.

problem: jr brown & watchtower have managed to create an image problem for bill bowen & silentlambs.

in jw land he isn't a victims advocate, he is simply a deceitful apostate.

I'm not saying that we should look good to the Bethelites. Aren't we going to have camera crews from various news media? Other people, whom we are trying to reach out to, are going to watch us, too. They are going to compare us to those well-dressed up jws. I'm sure the WTS will have bunch of young Bethelites stand in front of the building making a human wall.

We don't want other people, who are not jws or haven't heard of jws, to say, "No wonder they got excommunicated."

I'm sorry to say this, but I think she is in a biiiiiig trouble. If I were you, I would visit her with your wife, and find out what's really going on. I think she needs to see a psychologist.

Things she is saying to you do not make sense either as a jw or an ex-jw. Low self-esteem, depression and paranoia - it's a very bad combination. And she burned books with her mom? What is this? Do you know what kind of books they were?

And she doesn't go to the meetings? This sounds like she does not have anyone who can help her in the org. and she is terrified to reach out to outside of the org., even to you.

Oh, I don't mean to scare you, but I think you should act quickly.
