I just left the orginization.
by rocker inhey hows everyone doing... i am a resident of edmonton in canada, and i am only 16 years old, i just left the jw religion.
i just knew it wasnt in my heart, my parents dont care but i told them that i dont want to go to any meeting or talk to any of our old friends.. they still dont know why..but i fell like it was to much of a currupted situation..i felt like i was taking orders from man, not from god.
i was not baptized yet, but i was going strong in the ministry as a unbaptized publisher.

Did being a JW stifle your ambition?
by ballistic indid being a jw stifle your ambition?
did not needing to plan for the future affect your career choices and your consequent wealth?.
i'm not simply talking about following the advice to not take up an education which has been discused many times, but i'm going further to say that those brought up in "the truth" had their whole philosophy moulded and shaped in a way which never searched for more or wanted more; a non-materialistic outlook.. now some may still say materialism is evil, or that being brought up this way leads to a more content life.. the cynics, like myself, will say that keeping people 'happy but poor' is the genius of the rich.. i've had some success after leaving the org, after taking up education and so on, but it has taken time.

Joining JW's for Prestige of "Ordained Min...
by NeonMadman ini'm taking an online college-level course this semester from moody bible institute called "elements of bible study.
" this is only the first week, but it looks pretty interesting.
as online courses will, it has a discussion board, and as part of the discussion, i mentioned my jw background, and also commented that the witnesses regard every baptized member as an "ordained minister.

Never!
Being a priest wasn't my thing. If it were, I would have joined a convent or choose to major in Theology long time ago.

Any theories why sudden growth in WTS?
by Mr Bean inlately is observed some small growth in wts troops.
any idea what is causing it?
i've heard that an age of baptized new members has dropped and 9/11 makes an impact.

I have to agree with Elsewhere. Many ethnic groups are not aware of the scandals of the wTS, not to mention child abuse and UN involvement. If some are, they are told by the elders that it's all apostates' consipiracies. And they believe them.
And remember how they percentize the growth? If there were 2 jws and they got one new jw, then it's 50% increase even though this one jw might be an already-baptized one who recently relocated.

Please let us know how it went. If they can't find anything, see if it is migrain. My husband's side family has it. I saw him going through not too long ago. The symptoms were so similar to stroke: sever headache, numbness on one side and some vision problem. I had him see a doctor, and he told us that it was a traditional migrain. His symptom is not bad enough to take any medication. It usually takes 3 days to recover.

LOL@stephanus
Unless you are a real hardcore jw, every jw wants something for his/her birthday. I remember when I turned 30, I told some sisters that I would like to go to a very nice restaurant and treat myself for my 30th birthday. Everyone understood how I felt. Even one pioneer sis said that birthday issue is quite gray and that she would hope the society to have "a new light" someday so that we all could celebrate.

ARE MORMONS AND JW THE SAME ORGANISATION?

I had talked to some missionaries of Mormon. I have to say that there are some similarities esp. on the structure of the organization and the time period when they all started.
The founders of both "faiths", the Mormons and JWs, were of the Illuminati bloodline. Charles Taze Russell, who founded the Watchtower Society (JWs), was of the Illuminati Russell bloodline, which also founded the infamous Skull and Bones Society at Yale University. Charles Taze Russell was a Satanist, a paedophile according to his wife, and a friend of the Rothschilds.
Now, this is something I can't readily believe until I see the proof. Who is this David guy anyway?

Maybe Maeve is doing this by himself without consent from the up-state N.Y. Sheesh! He could get DF'd!!! Somebody email him that he is associating with the Babylon the Great!!! Even the Mormons are not participating in this.
