Registered charity lecturing on tax returns?...As for truth in Caesar's courts....utter twaddle. Seem to remember a WT sometime ago which appeared to condone lying to authorities if deemed in Jehovah's interest..?....

Hypocrisy in tomorrow's WatchTower study
by Isambard Crater inparagraph 15 says.... 15 besides abusive speech, the practice of lying is also a trait of the old personality.
for example, it is common for people to lie on tax returns or to lie to avoid taking responsibility for their sins.
by contrast, jehovah is “the god of truth.” (ps.

Who is your " I am" that your voice should be heard?
by The Rebel ini was recently thinking before i became " mike" i was an innocent baby, then as the days passed slowly by, i developed a sence of " iam".
as the days moved forward my body, slowly developed a a "sex organ" whilst my mind took on a sence of " emotional" and " intellectual" i am" .
this allowed me to become my current " i am?.

Good subject, and one that has often intrigued me over the years. So many questions are raised by this..... Who am I? Where was I before I was made?...Where did I come from?.. What is identity? Is this my first appearance as a live individual?... All seeking answers...It does give me tremendous empathy for others, as I could have been them were I not 'me'....Will I really die/disappear at death?...etc etc..

Seems to me a case of paranoia. Is their faith so brittle that it cannot cope with being questioned or analysed? I suggest that those who question and express doubts re the Org's credentials are more genuine and honest than those who blindly swallow everything without at least checking it's nutritional worth..... I have more respect for such honest questioners. They shouldn't be disfellowshipped, rather their questions etc should be openly addressed and appreciated. They're not seeking to sink the ship, just testing the seaworthiness of it.

Your post doesn't seem right....lacking credibility.....assuming you are genuine for a moment, I advise you not to do anything you're not 100% happy doing, including writing a reinstatement letter....to do so is a recipe for unhappiness ...

How Are Ex Elders Treated In The Congregation?
by minimus inare they pretty much left alone?
are they respected for their having been elders at one time?
are they treated like crap?.

I prefer the honesty of such elders who step down, compared to the sham of those who should be removed but are not. We had a few elders step down over the years. All were very down to earth men and gave of themselves to help others, never seeking recognition for doing so either....

Always remember one brother, (now an elder.,) who in a talk/item said that after his road accident, when four 'worldlings' were killed, Jehovah blessed him with a Ford Granada car....then he was further blessed with a three year old Range Rover!!!..Beggars belief! Yet this same elder refused to materially help his dying father..to the extent that his own mother , after the father died, moved far away from this elder because of his 'materialism'....!

Question...
by ironsnake656 inwhen you were an active member in the jwland, did you expect to receive any kind of help from a brother/sister, but they did not help you?
when i was in the jwland, i expected and was my belief that any brother/sister will help you in time of need, distress or trouble, because we were part of a "lovely organization".
but countless of times when i needed and asked for help, nobody from the org helped me.

In the 30 plus years I was in, I enjoyed helping in any way I could. Car lifts to assemblies and conventions, hall cleaning, garden work, taking in a homeless sister when she had to find accommodation at very short notice, lending tools etc out to others, standing in at short notice whenever needed to fill items in the Ministry School etc... But when I needed help I rarely got it with the exception of one or two genuinely caring and humble elders, including the one who brought me in.. Other ministerial servants and elders withheld needed help and support when my late wife was dying...It was left to worldlings to step in and offer unconditonal help.. Even when on my own for several years, I was never invited round for meals etc to other's homes... It all seemed so strange. Very clique and discriminatory, as it seemed that families helped their own , but rarely reached out to those without family in.....such a shame.
