  My Open Letter to the WTS

  i don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.

  i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.

  the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

  door to door work brings few if any into the org.... as for the newly instigated sit by your trolley work.....well...here in our town two sisters..(who are also real sisters) sit by their trolley each tuesday morning. no one comes to them and they don't approach any passersby.....complete waste of time and resources..and from what i can gather it's usually sisters who do this work...can't imagine brothers or elders doing it...seems that subservient sisters use it to demonstrate their wholehearted subjection .....

  one reason for the dumbing down of the org

  a lot of us have said that theres been a dumbing down in jw land.

  its just not like it used to be especially a few decades ago.

  it seems to me that if jw are right and the end of the world is near, the spiritual food should get tastier and more nourishing as time goes on, but it's getting more and more bland and less nourishing.

  Didn't ray Franz write most of commentary of James?...great book...but if studied today it would only expose elders etc as not fit for purpose.

  The organisation is irrelevant to many on it ranks...It paints everyone in the world as Satan's agents....It condemns higher education thus trapping many to a life of window cleaning or other menial jobs...basically what has it to offer anyone these days except excuses for failed prophecies..

  article is basicqlly about families where a spouse is working away from home for an extended period, etc...a foot note says basically that some studies have shown that working away from home can cause serious consequences, such as infidelity, homosexuality, or incest.

  Religion/ misguided belief itself is the cause of most conflicts...how many wars, uprisings, and blood sheds have atheists been responsible for?....

  even jws cause family conflict...as for the bible..the only harmony about it is the colour of its paper.

  imagine...no religion too..as John Lennon sang about...

  ..it is the policy of shunning etc which holds many younger independent thinking ones in.....they attend meetings and conventions because they have been conditioned to do so without protest...and as others have mentioned...many of them see the org as a social outlet..where they will meet and marry....after all..the world is evil and wholly in satans' power..isn't it..?...I count myself lucky that I had no family in it...and so when I left after 30 years I suffered minimally compared with those who lose families kith and kin....

  The difference between 1975...1995..and now is the Internet. Whereas the organisation could fluff their way out of false dates and prophecy the Internet has a lot if counter information available from ex jws and secular sources which previously younger jws had no access to. The organisation relies on born ins to stay in or face shunning. ..bred in captivity....

  books and magazines, many which are now out of circulation.

  the bloodshed of the old testament/hebrew scriptures using many' appointed' murderers to murder whole families and children... might well indicate that such a god would be more than willing to use liars/word twisters to further his cause......the whole jw thing is a sham...divisive...prejudiced...self serving..and hypocritical...using 8 men (iteslf an attempt to be a Noah class..of 8 survivivors.) to formulate/chop /change its creed to escape being exposed as a false prophet.......

  watchtowers army assault on our vulnerable elderly in nursing homes

  its been a long time since i have been this enraged at the evilness and shameless exploitation by the jws.

  i just got back from the meeting (dont ask) and sat through the km article laying out plans to mass convert nursing homes all over the world.

  i am not going to labor the obvious ethical travesty of this plan but i will say that it constitutes a major public health risk.
