  Evolution Anyone???

  i read alot of posts and it seems that though you all (or most) have left the kh, you still believe in a "father" or a "jesus" that created everything.

  since i too and one that left the kh, i have delved into science and have come the conculsion that god does not exist in a spirit form, but is life itself.

  the "creator" of all things is evolution.

  i've been lurking on this board for a few months and realize i'm addicted so i finally decided to post.

  i'm not a witness and never was - i was shunned before i could even begin to study because i asked too many hard questions and had the audacity to want to be engaged to jw.

  the relationship ended when his 'loving family in the truth' told him they would shun him if he didn't break it off.

  Special Judicial Committees

  you will have to understand that i have to change a few details here and there so that i can't be identified.. as many of you are aware i serve as an elder, and from time to time i have been asked by the service desk to handle matters for them by means of "the special committee arrangement".

  (a phrase you will not find in any wt letter or elders textbook.

  ) just to explain.. "a special committee is often set up when, an original committee (ojc)decides to disfellowship an individual, who then appeals against the judgement.

  for those who don't know what a buckeye is, it is the state tree of ohio.

  it also grows in michigan, but most michiganders try to kill them off and burn them at ohio state - michigan football games when ohio state loses.

  the buckey tree produces brown fruit that look like a chestnut, except they are poisonous.

  I agree with your post. A poster who begins by being arrogant,rude,and insulting will usually get replied in kind.
  Then there are a couple here who will try to put an emotional charge in a thread.Usually with thinly veiled insulting references to others,and proceed to fan the fire they helped start. Trust me on this. It will become evident by their little 'digging' posts they insert in threads.(Actually only 2 people come to mind). And that's usually cuz they're clueless to a lot of 'history' between posters.

  wrong date part 2

  well i went for my study session today and showed her the encyclopedia articles i had printed up.

  she said she didn't know why the date was 586 and not 607, and asked if she could take them to show her husband.

  her husband is an elder so i'm not sure what his reaction was going to be.

  Go to the bible for proof? Thats circular reasoning.He rose from the dead because the bible says he did? Now how do you prove that as a verifiable fact? What other 'historical documents' of that time corroborate that? What evidence please?
