  Education Survey

  education was strongly discouraged among the witnesses.

  i am curious as to how many of you went on for further education and in what fields.

  i will go ahead and list the ones i already know.. larc - advanced degrees in organizational psychology.

  Question For American Travellers:

  how do you feel about travelling by air since the events of sept 11?.

  have these occurences just made you uneasy, or were they enough to put a stop to flying altogether?.

  i told some of my pub buddies that i would ask this question, the news media have indicated that most americans are refusing to travel anywhere by plane at present.. englishman.. nostalgia isn't what it used to be....

  what was the silliest thing you ever did to prepare for armageddon?.

  way back when in my pioneering days, when we were out in service we would often talk about what to do when the great tribulation came along.

  one of my pioneering buddies told me that he was so sure the gt was around the corner that he went and buried some food for the bros and sis to eat when we fled to the hills.

  My mom used to tell me repeatedly that we would 'all flee to the mountains' literally! I picked up and studied ..again....
  then told her,uh "What mountains? We're in Illinois?????? We have no bloody mountains! lolololol

  just received the new prometheus books catalog.. ' awakening of a jehovah's witness-escape from the watchtower society diane wilson, forward and appendix by jerry bergman,ph.d'.

  the catalog gave it some major space.. i'll convey the blurb as written.. 'this tale of mind control,the use of fear to manipulate vulnerable people,and final escape from a suffocating cult enviornment is a revealing expose of a secretive contemporary sect,as well as a true psychological thriller.

  diane wilson spent 25 precious years of her life,first becoming indoctrinated by the dogma of the watchtower society,and then struggling to free herself from it's pervasive,intimidating clutches.. what she reveals about the goings on within the closed watchtower society will shock the average person who assumes the polite,well-dressed people who pass out leaflets are much like any other conservative religious group.

  I have wanted to read it for a while now. Not having an easy time finding it. Last couple places told me it was still out of print. . Same with the Schnell book,but Farkel was kind enough to loan that one to me a while back(thanks again Fark) hugs,T
