  When you point that elder finger at me,see the others pointing back at yourself dear----double standard again.And keep making stupid cracks about my ed. Shows how little you know.Happens to be highly unethical to do therapy in this venue,but I didnt expect you to know these things. You will tho,once you get in therpay.

  i posted this same topic earlier but it didn't go through so i have to do it again.. i didn't think my ten questions would cause a person(youknow) to be attacked because his opinions was different from the majority.. alanf.

  i don't know you personally and i don't know what you have gone through in your life, but i can say from what i have seen in here you have a lot of angry,hate, and other issues inside you that needs to be dealt with.

  you oblivious have some sort of history with this man.

  Reading 2 days of posts is not going to give you the data and background of posters here.
  I suggest you go thru the archives and such before you jump to conclusions about things you really have no knowledge of.
  And debating is not worthless.there are many isues that former jw's need to hash out and about.
  Please dont forget we came from an org that didnt allow free debate or allow us to question anything. Issues that ffected evry facet of our lives.
  Issues that actually destroyed aspects of our being,in which we are trying hard to regain.

  Yeah Kis,and your material is stale. DOuble patriarchal yawn for ya. Im not an on-line therapst wannabe,but think what you like. And any reasonable reader here can see thats not what Im doing. What I see are the same behaviors by him as others have. Like it or not,there are serious gender issues re;WTS. You want to sweep that under the rug,well go ahead.
  Dont expect others too. I was called liar a few times w/ nothing to back that up. This isnt the kh,were only nicey nice responses are allowed. I speak the truth of what I see.I speak the truth,especially painful ones like this. Since this truism offends your sensibilities by all means,seek pro help as you miss the issue at hand

  Why dont you stay around your board where you can censor and play therapist that Ive seen,your uneducated advice comes too close to playing therapist there. After you get some pro help, get some mh training Like I have. You might just be effective at times.

  Thanks for the snide comment.If you notice that was my first post in this thread,so dont tell me Im beating this issue.
  When in the WTS we had no voice,we have it now. And if you dont like it,dont read it. Actually your snide remark says more about you than anything I wrote,you ex elders do love to try to shut up people.
  Something you should have left at the KH door.Work on it.
  It must irk you to no end that you dont have moderator tools like ya do on h20. Tuff shit.
  Oh and before you put down the 'voice' comment.See randys latest post here,kinda ties in.Let me see you take issue with that.Or is it just women you do that with.

  Hi Julie,
  I'm amazed(no pun intended) to see the skewed thinking regarding amazings reaction to amnesians post.
  An obviously touchy subject here. And why it doesnt get addressed as much as it should,because it touched on a very real painful reality regarding elders and culpability.
  Rather than taking it to the personal name calling level that amazing did,it would have been better to see some rigorous yet painful honesty ,rather than mediocre defensive tactics that clouded the issue at hand.

  One only needs to re-read that thread and see exactly who brought the personal into it. I was screeched at,called a liar. And I knew that was bullshit,merely an angry reaction to the issue,as there is now way he could support that insult. And then we had the threat of butt kicking daughter appearing(never did) And then comes the biased ex-wife appearing. I was waiting for Uncle Joe next lol. So we see who took it down to the level it went too.

  Being unable to refute the points made by Amnesian,we saw the the huffy ego ridden leaving post.
  I also see blame going on. Anybody who leaves,it's solely their decision. No one elses.

  Bottom line was lack of honesty,inability to concede honestly to the actions of a subgroup of men with the group. Another fact is that whatever ego saving tactic,it does not change the reality of what many of us went thru,both men and women in our dealings w/ this group of men while in the WTS.

  Sad to see that the mindset wasn't left at the kh door upon leaving. Often times it takes public mention to create awareness of probs,issues,or lingering mindsets. We've all taken out thumps here. No one is any different,special on this. That includes those who held authoritarian positions. And the fact they brought that mindset with them here.

  whipping or not whipping?

  in light of the bru-ha-ha we recently endured over what began as and elder culpability issue gone awry, i thought i would present some words of wisdom written some time ago on this very board.

  apparently some poster had had a visit by some elders and had felt ganged up on.

  he described this as getting a "whipping", much like we have seen recent allegations of someone here being recently used as a "whipping boy" for another poster.

  Just catching up here.
  It is an unfortunate fact of life that the double standard exists. And existseven louder in the JW world.The whole system is designed like that. Hierarchal from top to bottem.
  And for many the double standard mindset leaves with them. It should have been left at the kh door,but we find that many of the ideas are still with some.
  And often times,it takes public mention to create awareness of this mindset.
  And yes,I'm speaking of the elder mindset. The fact that the brou ha ha even ocurred showed me it's alive and well here among a few.
  Amnesian use of the words 'elder' etc. was merely to descrobe a subgroup of the group we know as a whole.
  And these were the ones who had caused unneeded pain and problems for far too many.
  Amazing,his ego threatened came in with the personal stuff. Screaming 'liar' at me for my personal perceptions and experiences.
  Then bringing biased character witnesses in,while never proving I was a liar(which he cant anyway).......and it went from there.
  I felt that his switching from the issues to personal attacks was to serve from detracting from the issues he could not counter.

  We've all had to take our thumps from behaviors we participated in and learned from the WTS. He was no different. The difference was his inability to concede to the valid points that elders do share a higher culpability due to their rank,position and power over the r/f.
  The leaving also made it glaringly apparent that this was ego based.
  As far as not being baptized,I'm so glad you never did lol. And

  it's glaringly obvious that those who studied and took heed of the red flags do approach JW issues a lot more objectively than those of us who had the emotional investment.
  I've learned much from the non baptized as they see the issues in a more balanced way.
