Losing our dog Kate....she was unique.

to me today was the saddest day for a long while.

kate my sisters dog developed a strange cough a week ago and so we too her to the vets and he gave her a steroid and antibiotic injection and kept her in for 4 days, she was diaganosed with "collapsed trachea syndrome" she was a yorkshire terrier and apparently this is common in small dogs like this.. my dad is a carpet fitter, and just over 2 years ago he was doing a job in a house close by and the woman that owned kate at the time kicked her as she walked past her and cussed at her as she cowered, dad was appalled and said he'd take her, which he did, and jane (my sister) took her in and spoiled her rotten.

this little bundle of nerves really developed into a fantastic little dog, she looked like a little rat to be honest!

I'm so sorry, my heart is breaking for you and your sister. CC and I have 4 legged babies and we know what a precious part of the family they become. I'm so glad that your sister was able to save Kate *I'd like to kick that woman that kicked her* That made me so mad!!!!!

Tell your sister that she took good care of Kate the last two years of her life and she took care of her when she had to put her down. I've had to put a dog down myself. It's a very difficult thing to do, but sometimes it's the most loving thing that you can do. Sending you hugs......I know she will be missed.

i've felt yucky lately and i've changed my diet.

cc and i think that i may have hypoglysemia.

WOW, interesting replies! Thanks guys for you input! This diet is HARD, you can't hardly find anything that doesn't have sugar in it!!! That really limits you!!!

Frannie, where do you get your chromium tablets? Do you get them at a health food store, or can I get them at some place like Krogers?

I've been reading alot on the internet about how it works and the foods that I should eat and shouldn't eat. No caffine, no alcohol,

no ice cream! CC knew of someone that was hypoglycemic, so he is really able to help me alot! Maybe I'll lose some weight on this! Now that would be great!

Any good snack ideaa???? Recipies???? Favorite meals???? Do's and dont's?????

I've felt yucky lately and I've changed my diet. CC and I think that I may have hypoglysemia. I'm going to see a doctor and have some test run, but in the meantime, I've completely stopped my sugar intake. I've been doing some research and it seems that all the symptoms could be easily mistaken for someone with depression or bi-polar! I've been taking anti-depressants for some time, and to think that all I had to do was change my diet! My father was diabetic, so I feel it's important that I take care of this. Can anyone relate to this?

Gawd, I miss chocolate!

this is just my opinion, but i watched his performance last night, and cringed while he sang off key this was the first time i'd heard him perform, and about all he could do in key was scream.

guess that just isn't my thing.

i'll take the original recording artist any time.

Wow, thanks for that Seven and Guest. I had a hard time in school too Seven, but managed to make good grades, so I can appreciate what you went through. They didn't know a whole lot about dyslexia back *in those days* for me either. I'm glad that understand how it all works now.

It sounds like Micheal Jackson is in some deep trouble!
