Only if it happened to come up....I'd rather talk about more possitive things.

Did you ever save anyones life?
by dh inif so, was it a stranger or was it someone you knew, and how did the relationship develop afterward?
i did once, a friend who was drowning, after the incident the friendship totally deteriorated and now whenever i think about it, i wonder why i bothered, it's difficult watching someone drown, especially when they shout your name instead of help.
anyway, anyone got any experiences to share?.

Music You Grew Up With
by Nosferatu inwhenever people look at my cd collection, they'll come across blue oyster cult, black sabbath, iron maiden, led zeppelin, etc.
but then they'll come across something unusual.. right now i'm listening to "kenny rogers - ten years of gold".
my parents had this album, and i loved it.

I grew up in the south, so I remember Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Pardon, Jim Reeves. Long time ago!

Do meetings help Depression?
by Gadget ini read this on another thread:when i asked if they knew my son had clinical depression, they said, well, even he says he feels better when he studies and goes to meetings, and shrugged their shoulders.).
i've been told this by my ex too, that when she attends meetings it makes her feel better.
anybody else noticed this?

Good point guys! But it could also be that the person still feels it's the *truth*. They don't feel guilty if they've attended a meeting. When I *finally* realized that it wasn't the *truth*, the desire of going back left. Now I feel that if there were a burning hell, it would be better than going back to the meetings.

Welcome Fusion! Everyone here is right about *worldly* people not understanding a j.w. suvivor. I don't think you could understand unless you were in it!
Sometimes I get real busy and I just can't get here, but something always pulls me back. I have alot of appreciation for Simon. This board has helps me and so many. Hope it helps you too!
Welcome my friend.

Are you a blood donor?
by nicolaou inso many of us on this forum have criticised the watchtower society for their obscene blood transfusion/fractions policies.
quite right too.. it begs the question though; what are you doing about blood now that you have a more tolerant and informed perspective?
it's a rhetorical question.

CC donates at the office. I haven't donated blood, but I did volunteer at the Red Cross from Oct to this month. I worked in the office. I really enjoyed it too! Felt good.
