fort worth a judge on friday raised bond to $250,000 for a nurse's aide charged with murder after a homeless man she hit died in her garage with his body lodged in her car's windshield.. chante j. mallard, 25, had been released on $10,000 bail after she was arrested wednesday.
but at a bond hearing friday, prosecutors said that amount was too low.. state district judge james r. wilson raised the amount and said ms. mallard must be under house arrest, wear an electronic monitor, continue counseling, avoid alcohol and undergo drug testing.
the judge also imposed a gag order in the case.. ms. mallard was charged with murder this week in the slaying of gregory glenn biggs, 37, a former fort worth school bus driver whose body was found dumped last october at cobb park on fort worth's south side.. "it truly is one of the most bizarre things i have ever seen," said fort worth police lt. david burgess, a supervisor in the traffic division.
It is in character for you, teejay, to surface this latest example of man's inhumanity to man.
This episode occurred just a short distance from my home. Hwy 287 runs down the east side of Eagle Mountain Lake. I live on the northwest corner of the lake.
The alleged perpetrator was described as "high on ecstasy". Ecstasy, heroin and, particularly, methyl amphetamine are widely in use here.

Marvin,
The WTBS uses doublespeak in describing their "judicial" actions. To an objective onlooker, disfellowshipping seems cruel, heartless, short-sighted, counterproductive and unchristlike.
The Watchtower describes df-ing as a benevolent act motivated by the desire to reach the heart of the offender, moving him to godly sorrow, genuine repentence and ultimately, salvation. My gut feeling, not supported by scientific study, is that almost no elders serving on judicial committees view the individuals they have just sentenced to pending spiritual death as really wicked, incorrigible. They are not really making that judgement, actually, although that is what their decision implies. They are just following a taught format. Was there a courting of the wrong? Was the wrongdoing a practice? Was there evidence of ignored counsel? Was the wrongdoing concealed? All that malarchy constitutes a judicial smokescreen that obscures the value of the person being condemned.
If the alleged offense is apostacy, the Watchtower litmus test involves a yes or no answer to a simplistic question. Case closed.

Although I have never been a JW, the cover to the book, so to speak, sure looks goodActually, the JW grass is not as green as it appears from your vantage, 'postate man.
The opposite of your assertion above is closer to the truth.
Normal functions of life are made less convenient by living as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Schooling, employment, family life, relationships are saddled with the additional burden of conforming to an ever-increasing set of Talmudlike rules.
The thermal pools of Yellowstone National Park appear placid and inviting from the tourist walkway.

is anyone familiar with the gilead instructors:.
liverance, bowen, noumair, and karl adams.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the finest individuals I have ever met was Ulysses Glass who was one of the most prominent Gilead instructors. He displayed genuine humility and love of God and His Word. A TRUE christian.
Mr. Glass was outstanding in a TV interview or roundtable format. I recall his participation in a discussion panel which included a Jewish Rabbi, a Catholic priest, a representative of Baha'i and a couple protestant denominations. His gracious, respectful demeanor made me proud to be a JW. He was in no way argumentative and seemed genuinely forthright in presenting the Witness view of matters.

if you're struggling with becoming an ex-jw, stick with web.
sites like this one, as part of the healing process.. being here - and getting a better education - has helped me.
realize that the watchtower has little or nothing worth preserving,.
SixofNine:
Judging from the above, I'm going to guess that history will not give credit to the JW religion for the advancement of architecture or photography. History is snobbish that way.
But no! We needed assembly line cookie cutter quick builds, with the seldom used circuit overseer apartment, the mahogany elder table and the large indebtedness.
