Paul added a lot of things that JC never even spoke about, but you have to remember that his authority comes from the so called miraculous powers he had to resurrect the dead and not die from snake poison, etc... therefore this gives the reader the impression he has full support from the Christ.

if we look at christianity it appears that pauls teaching are what formulate it and not jesus.
paul often contradicts the words that are "supposedly" spoken by jesus repeatedly.

Is the WTS backing away from "Bible Tall Tales" ?
by Simon inwhen i was a kid, it seemed like not a meeting went by when you didn't hear about jonah or sampson and other tall tales from the bible.. now though, they seem to have been sidelined.
i guess the rest of the world caught on to the fact that these stories couldn't possibly be true and were so far fetched (yeah, even by bible standards) that they are just treated as 'stories' like aesop's fables.
saying that you believe in them as genuine accounts just makes you look like a crazy zealot.. but the wts is different.

My favorite book is Revelation, that's where you will find all the fun stuff. The book virtually drips with blood and reeks of sulfur. At the center of this final battle between good and evil is an action-hero-like Jesus, who is in no mood to turn the other cheek.

but it was officially announced today that the school for couples and the school for single brothers were being combined with the new twist that single sisters would be allowed also.

I can see many 40+ single sisters from my hall signing up. This will make them feel proud and special, hopefully this can cause some old timers to start questioning the WT, or maybe not. I can see them also making more money from these people that feel marginalized and lonely.

It's all an act
by stillin inthat is what the local elder told me when i said that i didn't feel qualified to have a certain service meeting part because i felt less than exemplary in that particular area.
my conscience bothered me to tell others to do better when i wasn't so great myself.. that elder is now a kms instructor/do.
go figure..

Spring hill fl JW kid is forced to pledge allegiance tothe flag

there was a little jw kid whose teacher made him stand up and salute the flag and/or say the pledge in class.
he went to the administrator and she got suspended.....my lord the jws are going to be shouting great trib over this.

I can still recall how a teacher pulled my hair when I was in kindergarden for not saluting the flag. I know it is wrong for parents to indoctrinate kids, but a teacher should know their boundaries.

lo jgnat! I am in sales for my full time job and I am always reading people's body language, profiling the clothes, how they walk, color of the skin etc... sometimes I am spot on and sometimes I miss.

Sorry for not responding right away, I've been in search of a new job since my current job will end in 3 moths

Not only does the WT keeps you busy, but they also condemn you if you look outside the WT sources and yet they can read secular material and comment about them in the WT studies, etc... That was the one thing that always bothered me and one day I finally broke the mental chains.
The truth is that the field service is a big waste of time because people do not want to be bothered and don't open the door. In my case I am happy that slowly I'm avoiding talking about lies.
LOL! It is strange that the people that stay in touch with me after many years of not seeing them in person are all worldly people. What I have noticed while growing up in the Borg is how your so called friends and brothers never call you or try to find out how you are doing after you move from a congregation. It now screams CULT! How could I not see it, it's beyond me
Sorry for not clarifying. I used to obey every single word uttered by the WT charlatans but clearly after learning TTATT I was able to see the fallacy and inhumane action behind shunning.
About my JC... I have never shared my story yet but I think I will do it soon.
