HOW FAMILY HAPPINESS WAS DISRUPTED

The disruption of family happiness began when Satan rebelled against God
Satan persuaded the first human couple and wicked angels to abandon their heavenly Father
Instead of experiencing the unity and happiness that Jehovah had originally purposed, the human family as a
whole is divided socially, religiously, and politically
Within the family unit, we see dysfunction, stress, and unhappiness (2Ti 3:2, 3)
Adam and Eve’s departure from Jehovah’s universal family has not only hurt our Creator deeply but has also
brought pain, suffering, and death to all their descendants (Ge 3:16-19; Ec 8:9; Ro 5:12)
HOW FAMILY HAPPINESS WILL BE RESTORED

Our heavenly Father would never allow his purpose for an eternally happy human family to be thwarted by
disloyal rebels
Jehovah showed his fatherly love by including a prophecy of restoration while pronouncing judgment on the

The focus of what is wrong revolves around a single point, the high control that the Watchtower Society has over its members, affecting both spirituality and day-to-day living. This predominates the following areas;
Day-to-day lives
Strict shunning of former members, including family
Banning of certain medical treatment
Short term planning for the future regarding education, finances, marriage and children
Demeaning view of 'worldly' people
Fear and negative view of life in the Last Days
Control over information and questioning
Stunted emotional development of members born into the religion
Spirituality - Two class system
Bible was written principally for the leaders
Salvation only comes through close alignment with the leaders
Jesus is mediator solely for the 144,000

Attention Governing Body: October 2, 2014 is only 940 days away...
by Alfred inin 1823, john aquila brown (a man who is not mentioned in any wt publication) came up with a bizarre mathematical calculation which totalled 2,520 years (in an unauthorized attempt to predict the end of the gentile times).... several religions recycled this bizarre calculation, including the adventists and the bible students... when armageddon didn't come on the variety of early 20th century dates predicted by several "dooms-day" religions of that time (including charles taze russell's bible students who predicted that the big a would start in 1914), they all finally realized that this 2,520-year calculation was nothing more than arbitrary mathematical speculation derived from erratic biblical extrapolation.... except for the bible students who continued to move up the date for armageddon 2 more times (1918, 1925) and then decided to use wwi as the starting point for the "last days".. all the while, one thing that seems to remain intact is the october 2, 1914 date.
oddly, for the watchtower bible & tract publishing cult, this particular date still marks the end of the 2,520-year period (that john aquila brown referred to in his bizarre 1823 book "the even tide")... again, no mention of this in any watchtower publication.
but, for jws, that date still remains the starting point for the period of time often referred to as the "last days" or even "the generation that shall not pass".. because of this, the governing body has been forced to change the definition of "the generation that shall not pass" countless times since the early 1970's.

The height of delusion on display at last Tuesdays meeting...
by BU2B ini literally just sat there with my mouth open.
sometimes the delusional mind of jws takes steroids.. it was during the draw close to jehovah study where they praise the mosaic law and how perfectly wonderful it was.
you should have seen the almost giddy attitude the conductor had and the comments from the audience.

I also did not like that they claimed that the Israelites did not rape. While they may not have done it on the spot, in many cases the virgins were forced to marry the very soldiers they just witnessed kill their parents and siblings. They could pick out those "beautiful in form" "all who they chose" What if she did not want to have sex with her new husband? He wouldnt force himself on her would he?
The book is horrible but the reading assingment was worst...
I guess they did not read the reading assignment for this week from the book of Numbers chapters 30 to 32. Chapter 31 clearly shows how loving these Israelites really were.
On the bright side, many did not raise their hands and I suspect a good portion had the same thoughts I did. I know for a fact that many JWs struggle with the barbarism of the OT. I know I did. Unlike other religions, the GB do not try to forget about the barbarism, they highlight it and praise it as good!
During the bible highlights only 7 people made a comment and NOT ONE PERSON was brave enough to talk about the killings perpetuated in chapter 31. Like many have said before, when you read the bible and isolate the verses that preachers don’t like to highlight, YOU TURN ATHEIST!!
I was hearing on the radio testimonies from women who escaped ISIS and I could not finish the complete story. The woman who first spoke was telling how they are selling 9 year old girls for sex, how women decided to hang themselves or cut their wrists vs. getting raped, and I could hear the pain and anguish through the radio. I had to turn it off.
ISIS does all of this in the name of Allah and the Israelites did it in the name of Yahweh, what is the difference? NONE.

The Pastor of my Old Church Tried to Re-Convert Me Yesterday
by cofty inyesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.
we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.
they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

the thoughts, feelings, and concerns i have had the past few years aren't just mine.
it's global.
