  Well welcome back girl! Mi casa es su casa... seriously, you know this place is full of great people and not so great lol Your story is so similar and unique at the same time, I'm happy that you have escaped and now enjoying life at a young age.

  Things in the WT/JW whacky world is just whacky! the GB fired Satan as Gog of Magog character since people needed a new villain. We now have new and upgraded bibles because Christendom has easier bibles to understand. We now preach but don't preach, since we stand next to singing carts acting as a Greek statues, minus the straight face because our faces reflects pure boredom. The GB is auditioning for the next JW News network, but so far Fox News is still ahead in the Nielsen Ratings. In the meantime congregations are getting fleeced for more and more money, child abused victims are getting paid but you did not hear that from us! GB says...

  Jdubs continue to push literature sprinkled with doomsday ingredients and kids and old farts are enjoying iPads and iPhones during the meetings, ah the blessings from mr. big J himself! We are all happyfied! Speaking of happy, bethel kids are all Happy @ Bethel now. Rock on Pharrell since Michael Jackson was demon possessed.

  i remember sitting behind the family at the meeting just days before they were killed.. it was also weird that their house was only a block or two from the allentown south, kingdom hall.. can't believe this was 20 years ago..

  Evaluating everyone's response and assessing the current with an honest outlook, we will not see the destruction of this organization anytime soon but the quality of the leaders and members will continue to degrade. Intellectually honest individuals will keep waking up an leaving and the naïve will stay in.

  The borg is not going to disappear but it will have hard time trying to stay relevant. If they don't fade away they will only be a shadow of its former self. They started with naïve people and downgraded to dumb, then dumber and soon they will be full of empty-headed ignorant fools.

If an obstacle falls across the tracks in front of a freight train, turning is out of the question. Sudden stops are not much easier. A heavy freight train may take over a mile to stop after the brakes are applied! Similarly, a supertanker may coast onward for five miles (8 km) after the engines are shut off. Even if the engines are thrown into reverse, the tanker may still plow on for two miles (3 km)! It is similar with human organizations that are prone to rigidity and unreasonableness. Because of pride, men often refuse to adapt to changing needs and circumstances. Such rigidity has bankrupted corporations and even toppled governments. (Proverbs 16:18) How happy we can be that neither Jehovah nor his organization is anything like that!

  Midweek Meetings no longer Necessary

  i am sure we have all seen the recent letter to the boe concerning the change that will take place to the meeting arrangement during the week of the co visit.

  to recap the basics: the meeting that usually contains the cong bible study (book study) and a co talk will be discontinued, publishers are encouraged to use their family worship night that week to cover book study material.. so here is a point that i think has been missed, or not even considered:.

  if that particular meeting is hereby deleted from the schedule, the co and his wife will never ever have to participate in or go to another "book study", or "bible study" night again.

  We just had our first CO visit without this boring book study. The visit was easier to digest and the week went by quicker. I still wonder if they will drop the book study all together.

  Self assembly chairs & evolution

  i'm no expert and do not claim to be in regards to how evolution works but this small test did make think how all things are related and have evolved from one common ancestor.

  the horrible example that i grew up hearing about a watch not being able to assemble itself or plane after a tornado, etc... dawkins would say, "well of course not" but mit seems to be on the path to make us think twice.
