Temporary Special Pioneer Assignment...?
by goatshapeddemon inmembers of my extended family were recently given a temporary special pioneer assignment as a result of the bible school for christian couples (vomit).. anyone got details on how this works?
why temporary?
is it a testing ground for circuit work or a "we dont want you on our payroll for good so we'll use up what you have to offer and dump you back into reg pio status when this definitely not-cushy assignment is over"?.

Cedars, this is how we celebrate after the memorial among Spanish JW's. Nothing new to me... My wife and I took almost identical pictures and later a group went to a restaurant to eat dinner. I bought my wife a new Calvin Klein dress and I wore a nice tuxedo. After all was done I said to my wife how different was the night Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper, and how they were all dressed with their everyday clothing and nothing fancy or hip. She simply stated we need to look good for respect to God.

Let's review: So everyone that was disfellowshipped for disagreeing with the FDS did not really disagree with the FDS. But now since you don't agree with the current FDS you will stay disfellowshipped. Yet, the JW might find out 100 years from now that the current FDS was still not the real FDS.

Cedars you and your source have done a great job! I cannot stay quiet anymore and I will be sitting with my wife and make her think for herself. I know this can backfire but I cannot sit quietly as these counterfeit Christians torture my families brain cells!!!! It ludicrous to think I've been raised in this organization and everything I understood is now obsolete.

First mention of "new light" may appear in July 15, 2013 Watchtower
by cedars ina trusted source informs me that the "new light" about the faithful slave is to make its first printed appearance in the july 15th watchtower, which should be available for download online three weeks from now, on around april 15th.. i'm led to believe that the references to the new understanding are made in such a manner as to suggest the "new light" isn't that new at all, which suggests to me that little or no effort is being made to explain the doctrinal connotations.
my source and i are hoping to get a key paragraph posted at the earliest opportunity.

What if you were DF'd for apostacy, but instead of the expected...
by respectful_observer inthis is a hypothethical, so i'm not looking for whether you would ever do this, or "why would you want to subject yourself to this...", but rather, what would happen if some did do this..... .................... you're half of a married jw couple, and you admit to doubts about certain wts teachings and it leads to an eventual disfellowshipping.
but instead of walking away from the kingdom hall forever, you stay put.
you faithfully go to every meeting with your spouse.

Interesting scenario... It might be painful but you might plant some seeds and demonstrate how true Christianity is about showing love and tolerance. But be ready! Not everyone will have a changet of heart.
