  since finding the meetings too morally repugnant to attend (coupla months now) i have.

  been reaquainting myself with the joys of sat morn's at home.. imagine my disappointment to find the group study overseer and his wife pulling up out front.

  the thought bubble over my head read "oh poo, poo and double poo!!".

  my first special pioneer assignment.- part 1.. in australia, western civilization is a thin strip of land, that hugs the coast.

  all the major cities are on the coast.

  i grew up on the east coast of australia where the great dividing range, as its called, runs parallel to the coast, and limits the extension of cities like sydney and brisbane.

  the exact chronology of paul's damascene experience cannot be firmly established, but certainly a number of years had passed since the death of jesus.

  perhaps only three or four years, maybe more.

  we do not have an accurate history of this time.. but, it is evident that by the time paul was converted a cult of jesus was flourishing within judaism, hence his opposition, as it seemed very subversive to his pharisee mind.. what was this cult built upon ?

  Without Paul there cannot be any Christianity today.

  I’ve always wondered before waking up to TTATT why God has never picked another apostle to the nations from our time. Why can’t he pick great minds and reveal his power and also give them miraculous powers such as Paul’s?

  All we are left with, are some writings from antiquity and fascinating stories that violate all natural laws in order to captivate the readers. Thanks for sharing this info phizzy!

  i must admit that my journey has brought me to a place that i never thought possible, a void.

  i have held faith in the spiritual world all my life and now i was finally able to pass to other side of the darkness.

  many times darkness is associated with evil and yet roughly 70% of the universe is made of dark energy.. .

  Yes, I am pretending and lying to myself. My goal is to learn more, convince myself of what is truth to me and then make my expose to my family. I am fully aware that I will pay a high price but those who love me will follow.

  Like any JW just getting mentally out, I feel like a little boy learning for the first time even though I am 34. At this point in my life I have a lot of catching up to do with the secular and religious world. Growing up in an enclosed environment steals from you the freedom to choose, the joy of learning new things and disables one’s ability to achieve your true potential.

  Currently I’m reading Hitchens Mortality book and the God Delusion. I also do a lot of YouTube and recently discovered Tim Minchin. I am learning from debates such as Dawkins vs. Lennox (Great debate), Hitchens past debates, Sam Harris talking about death and much more.

  Let’s just say I am rewiring my brain cells…

  I must admit that my journey has brought me to a place that I never thought possible, a VOID. I have held faith in the spiritual world all my life and now I was finally able to pass to other side of the darkness. Many times darkness is associated with evil and yet roughly 70% of the universe is made of dark energy.

  I’ve now stepped into the dark room. It seems empty at first but do not think this darkness is artificial vs. the light we think we enjoy as believers. I suspect it is natural and that true enlightenment can be obtained from this blackness. The one thing that bothers me is a sense of VOID or emptiness, but I find myself adjusting to this solitude.

  Today I do not censor myself and I am inclined to read fascinating works from believers and nonbelievers. The big difference is that I’m reading this new material in a different light inside the darkness.

  If you are lurking and doubting, don’t be afraid. Don’t give up in searching for truth and the answers that will enable you to find true happiness during the brief spark of life in you.

  if one reads genesis from the first chapter through the end with an open mind, it is clear that not only is it not true, but that god is potrayed as a cruel, petty, childish micromanaging tyrant.

  if one continues reading the ot this is just further solidified.
