  every now and again there is a post that just pulls the rug out from underneath me, and touches a place in my heart.

  What a wonderful post!! I could really relate to Lauralisa's trials!! I felt like a new person after I left the the "borg", I too had undergone some "therapy" before my departure from the " truth".

  lyall james was born at 12pm today @ 8.1 lbs.

  mother is doing fine.

  bubs is in the icu with a breathing problem but should be fine.

  UN involvement announced at Assembly?

  i heard from someone that the wts was going to or had already announced something about the un involvement at an assembly.

  anyone else heard of this or is it a local thing ?.

  i would guess they may have only done this because of the coverage in the uk national newspaper which they know they have to counter.

  When JWs used to have FUN!!!

  when i started associating in the late 1960s the jws were very sociable and had frequent fun events.

  here are some examples of the kinds of events we enjoyed, why they existed, and then the reason they were taken away:.

  sports: being involved in school or professional sports was frowned upon, so the brothers in the hall would arrange for sports for every other weekend.

  I live in Topanga,California and I have a special relationhip with "Worf" and Boozerunner", both who post here. I left the "Troof" in 17 years ago, in 1984 I guess. I have had nothing but fun since!! Good luck to you and continue to really enjoy life!!

  You bet!!There are plenty of ex-dubs in So.Cal!! This is my first time posting on this website and I am glad to do it!! I have two relatives[immediate family members] who are active on this website("Worf" and "boozerunner").I live in Topanga,California which is about 3 miles south of Malibu and 5 miles north of Woodland Hills.I would love to get together with the group!!
