Rented Facilities: If a congregation needs to rent a facility for long-term use as a Kingdom Hall, the elders should contact the Local Design/Construction Department. If a congregation needs to rent a facility for a one-time use, such as for the Memorial, the elders should follow the instructions provided in Renting Facilities for Theocratic Events (TO-19).
Renting a kingdumb hall for long-term use is a current thing? Or is it becoming more common as they sell off the halls?

in the letter of 21st may 2016 the gb explain that examining the scripture and yearbook will be available at beginning in october ... .
then we are the 26 octobre 2016 ... i saw examining the scripture ... but not yet yearbook .... is the gb modifying the figure of annual report ?

It's a flip-flop. Lol
most witnesses i knew were exteeemly reluctant to go out in the ministry.
but when they did, they were simply scraping by, eager to avoid conflict and just do their hour or so speaking to lonely old ladies or widowed old men.
placing magazines in a car group, doing route calls, plodding along in the utter boredom of their responsibility to get some time on a report by the last day of the month.. this was never a warning work.
I agree, it's all just a big social group to many people. Plain and simple. .
we all know that education is severely demonized in this religion.
and that the elders are appointed based on how many meetings they attend, hours they put in on the ministry and general attitude to other elders (as apposed to, you know, actual theological training and counseling) - so my question is, what were your elders occupations outside the kingdom hall?.

i am curious as to what current religion is similar in beliefs and organization to jw's.
i've only come as far as christadelphians.

I am trying to prove to someone that if in 1919, Jesus inspected and selected JW's, then he must have approved their teachings at the time, etc. You make a great point with the conclusion you mention in your last paragraph.
I am not trying to find a religion for myself. I'm trying to help someone out.
tl;dr: if you live either in scotland or in other parts of uk and you don't mind traveling, you might be able to help a fellow ex-jw by being present during a courtcase where she alone has to face more than two dozens of jws who have ruined their business.

ps.
I know an elder who says he won't hire JWs for any work because if they don't do the job right etc., you can't really be unloving or whatever. And for sure you can't sue them, it's in the KS.
He ended up suing a JW relative of his. He didn't lose his elder title, though. The branch didn't let it happen.
