  Will higher gas prices cause a policy change (New Light) re. field service?

  will higher gas prices bring about some new light regarding field service?.

  in the part of the u.s. where i live most of the territories require driving long distances.

  some congregation members are unemployed and many are retired/living on limited income.

  so what... We have distances here too, drive 110 km a day to work.... with norwegian gas prices :-)...

  it seems Americans in general complain very easily when a tax is imposed on them or risen slightly...

  if so, what is the reason that the wts gives them??

  and also if so, what is the real reason??.

  In fact the the feature articles of Awake February 2012 were devoted to FB and judged by watchtower standards it seemed rather liberal to me... At least it did not at all demonize FB as some might have expected... But of course this was in Awake, not in the study edition of the Watchtower, different targets

  Question about Private/Public Reproof Records

  hello all, i have seen several topics of df/da records being kept, but not any on how long they keep private/public reproof records.

  anyone know?.

  are forms sent to the society on these instances like they do for df/da individuals?.

  Due to strict privacy laws in European countries, things are somewhat different over here.

  E.g. in Norway, no records are kept... When a notification of a DF is sent to the Society, the reason for the DF offense is spelled out with reference to a bible quiotation onlye, e.g. Matthew 5:3 (example have no real reference). The file are not kept.

  This is kind of funny. In Norway the gas price has risen to some 10,80 dollars a gallon...

  Why do you complain about gas prices?

  I also remember being attacked by a dog, but fortunately i was not bitten. But I was scared for dogs for years, and still a bit weary.

  To me it seems that witnesses saw a householder or a person walking being attacked by the dogs and intervened on her behalf,

  but I might have understood it incorrectly.

  Was never forced.

  They never had to.

  My parents got involved when I was about nine years old, my grandmother had been baptized two years prior to that.

  I went to meetings several times on my own and also gave talks etc before my dad did.

  Was a small eager discipline who actually found real delight in theocratic activities..

  Sort of theocratic geek. ha ha....

  They never denied us things, we had the freedom to do, but we were so disciplined that we never did anything mischievous anyway...

  Of course, apart from me falling away as an elder and later a gay man.... So I guess I made up for all the good behaviour... ;-).

  Ps: am now married and live just as orderly as before ;-) But have added celebrations etc to it!

  In neighbouring Georgia, there has been numerous reports of priests attacking witnesses. Most people know that JWs refrain from non-violence, esp while in iministry... The whole article seems rather dubious to me...

  New Field Service Policy - jw's assigned to neighborhoods

  i am looking for confirmation on the following:.

  jws are now being individually assigned to smaller territories, and they are told to consistently work that same territory over & over again.

  the reason is that the watchtower wants the jws to build relationships with the people in that area.

  I remember visiting a congregation in Germany some 25 years ago.. They had the same territories for years.
