  interestingly, norway is an oil-producing country.

  nevertheless, the price of petrol pr litre is at approx.

  15 kroner, that is 2$50c a litre (roughly 10 dollars a gallon)... that is the highest price in any country... however, when estimated how much an average person has to work in order to buy the petrol, norwegians are among the 10 countries in the world that have the relatively "lowest" price.

The reason for the high prices are of course taxes. Still, people complain....

  However, they might be more lax on other issues, e.g. denmark allowing beards...

  the sept 1st 2012 watchtower carries the article "our readers ask - do jehovah's witnesses have women ministers?".

  the first words of the article provide a straight answer "yes, worldwide jehovah's witnesses have several million women ministers"however, the aricle goes on to explain their limitations in that they are not permitted to teach the congregation, "the audience of their ministry is different" .

  they also do not preside or have oversight.. that opening sentence is a masterpiece of fallacious reasoning, using the well established method of equivocation ie.

  Interestingly, in english one might equal minister with pastor, priest etc.

  However, when translated, e.g. in Norwegian, its rendered with a specific Watchtower word not being used by anyone else:

  Ordets tjener (servant of the Word)...

  Olympics - To Public to Act? -

  the society is afraid to act in regard to williams sisters and others whom are participating in the pagan olympic festival?.

  it would bring more bad publicity than good?..

  i just see the sisters williams on bbc news saying how the olympic gold medal is her best victory and she has more pride in the olympic medal than all others!!!!!.

  in eastern europe, a significant portion of jw are roma.. i came across this paper describing the conversion of a family in slovakia and their religious lives etc... quite interesting..... http://revacern.eu/exchange-programme/ep-paper%20hrustic.pdf.

  obviously, there is a problem with prejudice from non roma jw vs roma jws,.

  since the society has published a video entitled our romani brothers to conteract this.... (if i remember correctly) .
