I knew this when I was a teenager.
the witnesses say the apostacy took place after the last of the apostles died off , the name jehovah was invented by a catholic monk in the 13th century and because of its popularity among christendom (apostates ) it became acceptable.
and they have adopted it ?.
are the jehovahs witnesses following along with apostacy ?

I repeat I only commented on this particular video and that alone. I did not comment on sparlock, Lot etc... That’s another issue.
about me, i am being raised in a jw family.
all of my family expect for one aunt, who had left but not disfellowedshiped thankly, are in jw.
my father is an elder and so is my grandfather.
Hi!
I am gay and was also an elder for more than a decade. Feel free to pm if you’d like to.
I actually listened through all the language versions (I know, weird, but I like languages) of the song and the video was the same for them all.
Perhaps you are a bit more prone to conspiracy-theories than I am ;-)
Or they might have a hidden agenda in making this, although I doubt that.
time will show.
It might be a follow up, I just evaluate this video on its own. If you did not know it had been made by the WTS none of you would have given it a 2nd thought of being deceptive in any way-
The video states nothing about giving to the WTS. It is a general film aimed at teaching a child generosity...
sorry for not being a militant anti WTS-warrior.
I am glad I am not that cynical and no longer captive of black and white thinking. Some times good things might come from a source although we do not like or approve of their overall message.
I liked it. Should I be embarassed? It had a positive and uncontroversial message and did not even mention Jehovah once, just Jesus...
i have found that, since leaving jws, that few "wordly" people seem interested in hearing my escape story (although some certainly have shown great interest).
when i've mentioned that i used to be a jw and that i left, the reaction i've gotten on more than one occasion is a "oh i thought they were just a normal religion", and not only that, it's like they just weren't at all even open to the idea that jws could be a really strange and cultish group.
on these occasions, i felt a little lost for words trying to explain to people just how crazy jwism is, because there's so much crazy to tell about, where do you even start?.
In my country, JWs has been given so much bad press coverage during the years, botn on national TV and the press/periodicals of various kinds that almost everyone knows about their stance on blood, DF and shunning.
