  ? re door to door JWs

  i am not a witness or ex-witness but rather a 35 year old mom engaging in a dialogue with witnesses who are coming to my door.

  (i may not change their minds but i'd like to plant seeds of doubt!

  ) i am trying to figure out what is behind a strategy (?

  to have you meet a variety of people from the local congregation. Thus, when you eventually decide to visit and continue your Bible education, you will feel comfortable having met several Jehovah's Witnesses.

  I'm not familiar with this strategy at all. Most 'hovahs I knew jealously gaurded their return visits, and would only introduce them to new people:

  a. when with someone different out in service

  b. when the 'hovah actually brings the "study" to a meeting to show off.

  However, like Truthsetfree said, calling out the appropriate troops does happen. For instance:

  a. when a single woman calls on a man, she should direct the "interested one" to a male 'hovah and vise versa

  b. 'hovah is too dumb and sends brother or sister "smart" to do the job.

  The Watchtower's 'Faith Without Works' Scam

  witnesses is what james said about "faith without works'.. once this subject is brought up, they jump to the conclusion that.

  all others who fail to record hours spent in this usually unwelcome.

  i just got a phone call from my wailing mom that her best friend, and someone i grew up with, has died.. i really disliked this woman.

  her son told on me for saluting the flag in high school.

  that's how my mom and her became friends.

  Somehow I'm related to the deceased English actor Ralph Richardson. My Dad told me that. Not sure if he's right.

  One of the sis's at my old Hall said she a cousin to the deceased actor Jim Varney, aka Ernest P. Worrell.

  Perhaps the bible writers should have checked with the Babylonians they borrowed the story from in order to get it all straight.
